Well, it's 4 star because that officially means "I like it." DID like it is a better way of putting it. It is large and lightweight. And yes pretty waterproof. Comfy to carry too. However, it is not meant to carry the load the size of the bag should allow. Bought 3 of them for a 3 week trip abroad. Wanted carry on bags for the planes...and we were only allowed 11 pounds per bag...11 pounds is nothing...so we needed lightweight bags. Well, yes we were under or at 11 pounds for all of them...and after 3 weeks, 1 of them completely tore (strap to back of bag and seam of bag) and 1 had severe tearing at the top of the backstrap...the third is probably on its way out.Bottom line...I like it...but don't plan on using it for too long. At $9.95...you shouldn't expect too much anyway...so it's worth the price...for the brief time you will have it.

Pretty good bag.I bought this bag for my daughter to carry her clothes in. it is light weight and folds into a smaller internal bag. Good concept. I do not think it will hold up to carrying bulks or other heavy items. I like the backpack. It is light and will hold a lot of stuff. I don't like the quality of the product. The product came packed in the pocket which was great but when I unpacked the backpack and turned the pocket inside out to use inside the backpack, the zipper pull was missing. I tried to go to the website and contact customer service but the website was worthless. We don't have time to order a replacement so we will keep the defective one.

Good idea, very poorly executed. I don't understand all of these five star reviews, though it seems many of them received it for free, and I doubt any of the reviewers have actually used it to carry anything. The fabric is nice, but the construction and stitching is of very poor quality. It is what I would call a basting stitch (5 1/2 stiches to the inch) used throughout the entire pack. There is absolutely NO reinforcement where the straps connect to the pack. I took it on an overseas trip and used it to carry a very light load of some food and a light jacket. Within 2 hours, no exaggeration, the straps were already fraying and seperating from the pack where they attach at the top of the pack. Fortunately I had a small sewing kit so I could re-attach the fraying straps to the main part of the pack. Looks like I'll need to go over every bit of stitching with my sewing machine if I am going to use it again. If you want something durable, stay away from this pack.

We got it for Disneyland. We carried stuff for 2 people including jackets, sun screen, lunches and water bottles. It was really light weight and deflected water nicely. Plenty of room for all kinds of items. Also really liked having the smaller compartment up front for the things we needed the most. The pockets for the water bottles worked out nicely too. The only small complaint was that the shoulder straps don't have much padding but other than that, it worked great!

We purchased two of these for our pre-teen kids for a cruise. They lasted the one week vacation. On one of them, the zipper broke. On the other one, it ripped very easily. But, the price is right.

I am very disappointed with the item. I purchased the backpack to carry items around during trips to amusement parks on vacation. After the first day, the shoulder supports started to fray at the top of the backpack and the stitching started to seperate. I put a drink in the side pocket with a bathing suite and some snacks inside. Not what I would consider a large load based on the size of the backpack. I think the material that the shoulder supports are made of needs to be changed. I ended up carrying around the backpack by the loop at the top for the rest of the day. I ended up using another backpack that we had brought for the rest of the trip.

Cannot stand up to every day use. Middle handle tore after six uses. What I did like is that it did keep everything inside of it dry when it rained.
