Really great product
If I understand it correctly, this is a 2 part polyester based filler, very similar to auto-body filler. It adheres great to wood, it sands easily, and it sets up quickly. The only disadvantages are the fumes, that it can be a little difficult to get the ratio right, and that it sets up quickly especially in warm weather. That said, I like it better than epoxy because epoxy is miserable to sand, takes forever to cure, and usually leaves a waxy film on the surface. Compared to drying solvent based one part filler, this cures faster and is a lot stronger. This is my go to for wood filler for painted anything. Oh, and bonus feature, if you want a finer filler for after this for tiny defects, you can use auto glazing putting, like a 3m product. That will go right over this and make for a very smooth finish.

THE BEST two part wood epoxy.
Works better than anything I've tried. Two-part epoxy. Dries HARD.

Very strong, has a lot of strength to hold screws
I have pieces of furnitures where the screws stripped out the wood and no longer hold the screws. This product is absolutely perfect for filling in holes with enough structural strength. I tried many other products out there but this one holds the screws the best (don't bother with Elmers, and JB Weld is a bit too hard). Some advice: try filling the holes and add strong wood (bamboo, toothpicks, etc) into the wood. After drying in 20-30 minutes, pre-drill and viola! You can put screws back in with confidence. My biggest complaint about this product is that after mixing 16:1 (compound : hardener) ratio, it dries up FAST. Way faster than what the instructions say. Mine dries up in about 1-2 minutes, so I don't have a lot of time to work with. You may want to experiment with a different ratio. Also, since I use the wood filler for holding up screws, I don't really care about painting over and/or color matching. But, it is a bit darker than pine wood, but probably the same color as typical plywood.

Lots Of Review Confusion Here....
Amazon is obviously mixing multiple very different products here with the reviews. The product labeled Minwax High Performance Wood Filler is a great product for what it is designed. It is a two part system like Bondo and even dries grey. It does not come in a tube that can be already cut nor can it dry out. It is harder than wood and lasts years. I repaired my workbench with it then beat the crap out of it and it is still good several years later. Minwax High Performance is designed more for structural damage repair to wood that will be painted or nobody cares about cosmetics. It works excellent in repairing things like door strike plates that are destroyed or stripped out large screws/carriage bolts and knots that fall out etc. It is stronger than wood. Unlike Bondo it sticks to wood REAL good. Without all these bogus 1 star ratings from the wrong products Minwax High Performance Wood Filler would be a 5 star product as well it should. Anyone who is still chasing a great "stainable" wood filler that will blend in and match your nice wood project might just as well shift over to Unicorns. The products are designed to work marginally on a real small finishing nail size hole. More like a brad.

Really does the job
I received this 4 days ago and have been very busy with some repairs. The worst was an Andersen casement window with serious rot in the bottom rail. I scraped out most of the rot down to slightly soft wood and treated it with Minwax wood hardener. The rail was missing third of the wood thickness on the right but at least half of the rest of the rail was gone. Following directions, I proceeded to add the filler in layers. I used a piece of plastic clamped to the rail to provide a form for the front of the missing rail. This stuff sets up very fast so don’t mix too much at a time. Bottom line: I am very happy with the result - it now looks almost as good as new. Much sanding and refilling was needed to get to the end, but it leaves a very solid fill. It paints just fine.

This stuff simply works
I was doing repair work on my front porch after removing bushes. There were areas that had rotted out due to weather. Each area was at least 2 inches by 6 inches. I first cleaned the areas of any remaining loose pieces. Then I applied Minwax hardener liberally to each area covering all exposed wood. I let this dry for at least 24 hours. I then used the minwax wood filler. I used a disposable/plastic scraper to mix the wood filler and supplied hardener. I used 1/4 inch hardener to a fold ball size filler. Once mixed well, I applied to fill the holes. I found it easy to apply and let it dry then add more until completely filled. I then let dry for a day and then sanded smooth to the surrounding area. Once primed and painted, it was like there was ever any damage. I liked: Ease of use Quick dry Harder than the wood Able to sand with electric sander Perfectly smooth Once primed and painted, looks like never damaged and you can't tell repairs were performed. Withstands weather so far Overall a great product and recommend. There are other options out there. Some may work better for really large areas. The largest area I repaired was a 4 inch by 6 inch area. I filled the area in layers til done.

Product is as advertised. I have used this many times on MDF repairs and wood repairs. It is on the pricey side but well worth the expensive if you know how to work with it. My picture shows hidden trim damage inside a closet. Fabricated a form, filled it with the wood filler and as you can see from the results another successful project completed.

Excellent product. Watch this video clip for great advice. Find clip by searching Minwax High Performance Wood Filler (Epoxy Resin) video TMG. Weight the components! At a 16 to 1, to 20 to 1 ratio. Work extremely quickly. The trick in the video of using two paint scrapers is fantastic. I was unaware or it, and it is better way to work with this product than mixing in a container. Mix the can of resin well. Wooden craft stick works well.

This is the best two part wood filler on the market. Period When you need to fill large or small joints, voids, or feather out joints this is bar none the best. Why? because it sets up hard. Now listen up, it's easy to sand. Sets up hard and easy to sand for a joint fill that will not crack. Superior product.
