This is the only mattress protector that really works in my experience. I have a child with a chronic bed wetting issue- this has finally taken some stress away that the new mattress we bought will not be ruined. Buying a couple to ensure we never have to go without.

This is the BEST waterproof fitted mattress protector that I have tried and is actually waterproof! Although pricier than others, it is totally worth it!! I have wasted so much money on cheaper ones that either didn’t work at all or stopped being waterproof after a few washes. This one is made of a super soft, thick, and cushiony material and no crinkly plastic backing. So it is breathable and good for hot sleepers. Not only does it feel luxurious but it has also stayed waterproof after several years and numerous washings. I use medium temp wash and medium high dryer settings. It also has very deep and generous pockets so even if you have a very high mattress, this fitted sheet will easily cover the top. Some sizes also come with additional elastic bands around the pockets to really make sure that this protector stays in place and secured around all 4 corners. The only minor con is that because of the generous pockets and those additional elastic bands, sometimes in the wash and dryer the backing side flips around and turns into a ball with the cottony side on the inside which can prolong drying times. Then I have to pause the dryer and unflip it so that the cottony absorbent side is on the “outside” so that it can get dry. But overall, this is best fitted waterproof mattress protector that I have seen for regular beds. Again, worth the money!! Have bought for all the beds in our house.

Bought the twin size for my daughter’s first bed. Figured the reviews were really bad on the cheaper brands at various stores so it was worth it to splurge on one with better reviews.Thought we’d probably never learn about the validity of this being water proof for a while since she’s still in pull-up at sleep time. Wrong. I forgot to put one on her the first time and she had a huge accident. The sheets were soaked. The pillow was soaked and the cover was soaked. I pulled up the mattress cover figuring the liquid must’ve made its way to the brand new mattress. It did not! The mattress was clean and dry. Highly recommend for an accident prone kids’ bed!

My 16 month old is laying in a twin bed, we were using one of these: See link Bey Bee Premium Hypoallergenic Breathable/40 Cups Water Absorbency/Wrinkle Free Fade,Stain Resistant/Waterproof Mattress Protector Reusable Mat/Absorbent Bedding pad (86"x56") XL Coral  It worked great, it is waterproof but at nearly $90 dollars, I would need 4 , because I have two young children on twin mattresses so to avoid pee accidents and vomit for the occasional stomach bug.At nearly $90 for a waterproof TPU Sheet, I started researching for an affordable product ( affordable relevant to your budget)So Glad I came across this PUREgrace Twin Mattress Protector, I have it over a twin size 6 Inch IKEA Foam Mattress and it stays in place, no crinkling sound, and the bed feels so comfy, it is so soft. We use organic cotton sheets over the mattress protector.I will be making another purchase for my other child's bed Twin bed.On a side note I have found that switching the kid's entire bedding to non toxic, organic bedding is quiet expensive up front but their breathing has improved. My daughters both used to wake up sneezing and one had a script for breathing treatments, now I rarely notice them having breathing difficulties.UPDATE AS OF JUNE 2018: I still love this mattress protector, I have just purchased another - I have been hoping for the price to fluctuate (lower) However the price has remained consistent on Amazon. I have washed my mattress protector in my front loader washing machine on cold temperature and let them air dry out on the clothes line.I highly recommend purchasing this item, the price is steep compared to all the other garbage on amazon - However this item is justified in its price. This mattress pad is in a class of its own, it is so soft, no smell out of the bag, no crinkling sound, no scratchy material. I believe the package says you can lay directly on the protector - However I cover the protector with organic sheets which my kids lay on top of with no complaints.

We bought our first PUREgrace crib mattress cover for our daughter's toddler convertible bed a year and a half ago when looking for a safe and high quality product for her to sleep on after a disappointing leakage experience with the cover we'd gotten when purchasing her crib. We have been so impressed with this cover that we bought them for her new twin bed - as well as for our queen mattress. This cover is easy to get on/off and has proven to be waterproof; it has fitted sides so it envelops the mattress and there is no accidental leakage from it slipping around. The material itself is so soft and comfortable that it's kind of hard to believe it absorbs liquid - but it does, as we can attest from many overnight accidents and sick days. It's not that plasticky kind of cover that keeps you awake all night or causes you to overheat. It's also really easy to clean; it washes well and is dryer safe - but I have always air dried ours as an extra precaution and it dries well within the day. I highly recommended this. If you can afford a little extra, it is well worth the cost.
