WedgwoodWild Strawberry White 4-Piece Place Setting

I have been casually looking for dinnerware for the past 2 years . Occasionally ; not looking every day ! LOL I wanted lovely but everyday use and sturdy enough so that I did not have to be afraid to use the plates. I had come across some plain white dinnerware in a well known store and was fascinated by how light and bright the white bone china was. I had seen other sets of white dinnerware that looked grey in different lighting . I knew that i did not want something heavy. So I started looking online and did not refuse to look at bone china. Ok, I saw a lot of colors that were not true . Strange browns, pinks, etc. I love colors that are pure . I saw designs that crawled all over the plates . How could you find your food ? LOL Half as much design would have been sufficient. Then I saw these ! The embossed design offsets the plainness of pure white . The design accents, but is not all over every inch of the plate . If I want color, I can add anything to these settings. Wedgwood does a basketweave that i liked but I am not a geometric lover. Give me something looser than straight lines and angles ! The plates are not heavy but feel sturdy. From what I have read, apparently bone china is strong . They also can go in the dishwasher and microwave ! So I have ordered 2 place settings and am trying them out. So far, the odds are very good that I will be ordering more place settings ! i love the subtle design of white on white . Oh, the mugs that came with the set are not very large . But hey, how much do you really drink ? Remember that you can put any color with these dishes , so experiment !! 7/21/2019 Amendment : I have now had this dinnerware for 5 months . They have been both hand washed and dishwasher cleaned . I have treated them like my other plates ,which is carefully, but bumps happen. They have remained perfect ! They are lighter in weight than stoneware ,but are heavier than corelle . They bring class and beauty to my life and a smile, especially in the morning ! I also have some dark blue glassware that looks lovely with them ! Highly recommended !! If you should consider giving them as a gift, you will love the beautiful box they come in and the perfect packaging ! Wedgwood is a class act !

I ordered a 4 piece setting for 124.00 and was delivered 1 cup 1 bowl, 1 plate and and 1 dish. Obviously they think differently to me about what a 4 piece place setting is!

I bought another brand of China, for everyday, and they were cracking in the microwave. So upsettingSo, I bought 4 sets of the wedgewood white wild strawberry. I love them!They are simple yet elegant and have been quite sturdy ... standing up to the microwave and dishwasher. And, they are perfect when I add dishes with color for a bolder statement on the table.I have now purchased 12 sets.

I love this set. Beautiful and simple. Goes with anything as far as dinnerware and is made well enough to withstand accidental dings without chipping (thankfully). The wild strawberry pattern reminds me of my late grandmother and has a sentimental feel to it for me. Every morning I pour my tea into one of the mugs I think of her and it makes me love the setting even more.
