Great fun !
My wife and I enjoy using them so we are not exhausted after a day of diving, (were in our 50's )Also great in strong currents. Extends my bottom time.Plenty fast, plenty strong, pulls me ( 200lbs ) along easily.Recharges overnight. Also good for learning a new dive sight.Hop in water get to your depth and turn on, turn off before you change depth.

Broke first time recharging unit!!!
The top plastic screw cap that conceals the recharge port broke the first time I went to recharge it! Now I must use wrench to close port every recharge, so apparently on last recharge I did not tighten enough to engage the rubber seal so inside electronics got wet, now unit shuts off every 15 seconds. Have tried everything to dry unit out to no avail. $1000 paper weight! I begin my lifelong boycott of Seadoo products. If my boycott is as effective as my previous boycott of some local restaurants... Seadoo shall be out of business within 2 years!

... the Sea Doo website make this product looks really nice, Once you get the box they ship it ...
The pictures on the Sea Doo website make this product looks really nice, Once you get the box they ship it in those cheap Chinese Factory boxes, I can't stand that and I don't understand why U.S companies don't make sure China does not ship any crappy carton boxes. once you open the box you got that nice glossy Sea Doo Box. The exterior of the box killed the excitement.2.) product looks great on pictures, take out of the box and this things feels really really cheap. for $900 dollars I expect machined parts. Molded plastic parts have discoloration. button trigger is designed to break after a while. it's just not a quality product but then again. this is there top of the line product and I have a feeling all of there products share the same platform expect the battery power supply changes. Sorry Sea Doo its needs some serious improvements. its a good idea. but speed is also too slow. your speed ratings are based without any operator on the products most likely. Maximum speed with an operator is about 3 to 3.5 KM. Slow walking speed.

Fun but Low Quality
I bought 2 of these units and they are fun when they work although both units broke in the same exact spot after the first use. The quality of plastic appears very low grade and the knob to access the battery compartment broke off in my hand when hand tightening one unit. Its a metal screw capped with a plastic knob protecting water from entering the electronics and battery compartment. When I went to un tighten the other unit it broke as well so this issue isn't limited to one unit and most likely a product defect overall. I'm not optimistic that these units are very durable as the plastic seems cheap, the directions that come with it are very limited, the unit came with spare parts although no explanation for there use. Overall the units when they work are fun but based upon other reviews and my experience I would not recommend anyone purchasing these units due to quality

Not bad.. Far from perfect, but not bad.
I spend a lot of time in and around the water, boating, scuba, freediving, spearfishing. I don't have a lot of experience with DPVs, but I thought I'd like to try one out. This is the model I ended up picking up, after looking at the other Seadoos, mostly the supercharged VS and the Explorer X, as well as the Torpedo DPV, and the used Mako or Teknas. This one is by far the lightest/smallest of the bunch, and it's also one of the less expensive DPV brands - while a higher end Seadoo. The main power switch is a big tab that pulls out of the top center handle. It's a little cheesy, but it works. The battery gauge is a series of LED's that are easy to read, also right in the top/center.The main controls are like big buttons for your thumbs, rather than triggers, and there is one on each side. They work in parallel (IE, grab one trigger, switch hands, keep using the other). You always start on the low speed, and two more (press/release) cycles will put you into high speed. I really only used high speed when I took it out, but the lower speeds are a little quieter if that's the concern. The charging system is pretty easy - three cam lock straps to pull the nose off, and a thumbscrew for the port - don't even need to remove the battery, and no tools necessary - big plus. The prop and shroud set up is easy to work on and seems mostly sturdy. I don't love the screen/cover on the back, and most other brands don't have such a screen. Should something get tangled, this would make it very hard to free. I personally removed mine to mess with the prop and left it off.I rigged up a harness for it around the handles rather than the factory grommets, but they should work too.The plastic does initially seem to be a little brittle/fragile, but this isn't made to drop out of helicopters or anything. A little bit of a care and I don't forsee any damage. The triggers seem to be good enough - I haven't torn them apart or had to repair one yet. The little scoop onI scored this as a warehouse deal with a nice discount, but the prop was stripped out (Thanks previous buyer....). I did a quick repair on it and took it out.I didnt measure the speed, however, I towed myself and another scuba diver at respectable speed in the fastest mode around a wreck, with neither of us kicking. We definitely got some stares by the other divers - both probably for the sound and the appearance of the two of us buzzing by effortlessly. We ran it for maybe 15 minutes, playing around, etc - and the battery still showed green/full. With the other diver behind me, it was a little tricky to steer, but I didn't have the "trim/blade" diverters on either. I didn't notice a problem before that, but I'll still put them on and see. Those are probably the cheapest/most likely part to break, but I'm looking forward to testing with them a little bit more.It comes with a set of pencil weights for trim/buoyancy, but I haven't felt the need to add any of those. It does float neutrally to slightly positively buoyant underwater. We had it down to about 115 feet, and it still cruised around fine and staying neutral.Current wasn't bad the day I tested it, however, I'm looking forward to running it in current and a little further distance. We have a couple dives that may be shore divable with DPV - otherwise they're a boat-only venue. I also heard a story that a guy used a DPV to tow a boat back in (slowly, but still). I'm looking forward to testing this with my dinghy - I'll get some numbers for speed that way for sure. :)I found the vendor scootermotion has great customer service and parts available, as well as new scooters for sale. All in all, there's a few things I'd change (manually selectable speed or variable pitch prop, revise shroud, revise the fins, etc), but it's a fun device, and hopefully it lasts a few years.

Seadoo rs2 review
I have had it for 2 years now, we are sailing around the world on our yacht. I use the scooter regularly. I found it to be a great piece of equipment to have on board.i use it when checking on the anchor and mostly as a tool when I need to get around underwater , rather than use it as a toy.It has been very reliable so far. I rinse it thoroughly after each use. The plastic thumb screw cracked and needed super glueing. That seems to be the weakest part. The charging takes about 5 - 6 hours. Quite long.I have been down to 25 m with it on snorkel . So if I need to retrieve something that's fallen overboard at anchor , no need for scuba , just grap the seadoo and off I go.The previous models were frought with leaking issues and I was hesitant to but this. I have been pleasantly suprised by the overall quality and performance.I would recommend this to fellow divers.
