Lots of elastic
Very useful, I have made twenty scrunchies with it so far, and have barely used any of it.

Great stretch and good quality elastic
The reel of black elastic is delivered inside a pretty large cardboard box, wrapped in plastic film. The elastic is easy to unwind as the end is tucked under so easy to find. I measured 1" of the elastic and it stretched to just over 3 inches. I could have pulled it a bit further but i think that shows how elastic it is and I doubt anyone would need to stretch it that far.I use a lot of elastic for dolls clothes and sometimes need to cut it in half lengthwise to make it narrower; I find a lot of elastic just frays to bits and doesn't hold elasticity but i am pleased to see that this product cuts in half without fraying (as long as you keep in the groove) so it's great for dolls clothes. The yardage on this roll is 144 yards/130 metres at around £10. I don't think that is a bad price. I've spent over six pounds on 50 metres of supposedly good elastic only to be extremely dissapointed with it and had to throw most of it away. The quality of this product makes it well worth the price in my opinion.

Excellent for masks and for mending
This is a big reel ,130 metres of 6mm wide elastic .The elastic does go all the way to the core of the reel( not to an extra wide core to just look like a lot)It is wide enough to be stitched through. Its soft and not too thick so shouldnt bite in on a waistband although its not really skirt or trouser waist wide, more suitable for underclothing. My mother used to call this thickness of Elastic 'Garter Elastic' because it was used to hold up Long Socks back in the day when they were hand knitted or lost their stretch when bought and could always be knotted into a loop if needed last minute ( sewn is nicer as you dont get the knot digging in).A 2" length will just manage to stretch to 5" so its got good expandability. It looks as though it will stand washing though as most of these type of elastics, best to avoid boil washing else it goes very stiff and hard.In the current make do and mend culture I am using this for mending Black underwear and that will take about 24.5(62cm)" per waist and 14"(35cm) per leg edge on a size 12 to 14 pair.Because it is Black, it can be used for making washable black face masks also and you would need at least one 30 cm piece for an adult mask with only one band or around 60 cm for a two band mask where both bands go around the entire back of the head. The two band masks usually give a better fit as they allow the bottom of the mask to grip around the chin while the top band will hold the material better over the top of the nose. Its possible to make them with ear loops but the whole-head bands are much more comfortable if you must wear the thing for any length of time.Other uses are rethreading elasticated cuffs in rain wear, use a largesafety pin to thread through the channel and you can knot the two ends together once threaded through.New loops for camping equipment. Tent inners often hang on this exact type of Elastic and the loops at the bottom of tents are always coming loose .Sewn into the tops of long socks and the waist bands on kids knitted tights.Sewn to the top of a pair of gloves or mittens and the joining length threaded through the sleeves of coats to avoid losing them (length depends on size of coat)Inside home made hair scrunchies. This works out at very good value at 9.99 for the whole roll (Dec 2020)

Lots of elastic, convenient spool, multi-use
The media could not be loaded. This is a huge spool of elastic for the price. I usually only get a couple of meters for a £1 at my local shop and it frays pretty quickly. This is currently retailing at £9.99 - I haven't measured it but it certainly is weighty and looks like 130m!This spool is narrow elastic, great for facemasks and cuffs on sleeves or smaller textile projects. This elastic snaps back into size nicely and seems really tightly crafted. It cut really easily with my textile scissors – it’s easier to get white elastic but I prefer black, so happy with this, will last for ages!

Stretching it
This is her review, as sewing, knitting and anything to do with material and the kitchen is her domain, so it's going to be very brief. At 144 yards for a tenner (and it would take Usain Bolt 12.45 seconds to run the length of this), whilst not the best available, for the price, you can't quibble. It's thick enough for most tasks.
