Read with Me Bible: an NIrV Story Bible for Children Review: Wonderful review of the Bible for young readers! - Our church purchased multiple copies of this book to give out at the end of Vacation Bible School to the families who had came. What a blessing it was! I was afraid that it might be too immature for the older kids (ages 9-10), but their families reported that they had read it, stayed VERY interested, and were telling them their favorite stories. The children who attended were between the ages of 3 all the way to 17. The artist, Dennis Jones, is truly God-inspired. He has such wonderful talent- the pictures are incredibly interesting and often tell more about the Bible story than is even revealed in the text of this Bible. This book also contains a glossary at the end of the book to explain words that the children would not understand, but should- "Words You Should Know." I love the breadth of material that is in this collection. Many stories that aren't usually included in Bible story collections are here. There are 58 Old Testament stories and 47 New Testament stories, ranging from one page to eight pages long. Most pages have only 6-8 lines of text and a vivid picture displayed. I have a four year old who reads, and she can read this book with some help on some of the larger words. It is a well-written, accurate, and captivating book. I highly recommend its use with children to learn many of the good stories in the Bible. Review: Great price - Nice gift for a child

Great Beginning Bible
We wore out several copies of the previous version of this book with our older daughter, so when our younger daughter was ready for Bible stories before bed we knew what Bible storybook we wanted. This is a great beginners Bible. I think that it is more appropriate for 2-6 year olds than 4-8 year olds. The pictures are dynamic & engaging & the stories are just the right length for our 2 1/2 year old. This is more of a Bible translation for preschoolers than a Bible story book. It does not add in any story elements to transition one story to the next. Although this might be a negative for some people, for me it is a positive. I prefer for the Bible to stand on its own. I also like that this Bible has some stories in it that are not often found in other Bible storybooks, like the story of Solomon judging between the 2 mothers who each claimed 1 baby as their own, the Last Supper, and Paul's shipwreck. This is the favorite Bible storybook in our house, precisely because it is least like a storybook and more like a Bible.

Great visual, Fun for kids, and it's Dennis Jones
I have collected all Dennis Jones' bible books and I'm so inspired by his art. You see I'm 30 years old and I have a 1 yo whom I bought this book for. My 1yo can't read yet but I thought it would be a good idea to start collecting books for him to read. I happen to be a comic enthusiast, an art lover too if you will. Ever since I saw Dennis Jones' art on one of the apps in the appstore I was on the hunt for this guy. Ok now for the book itself, based on the art I am guessing this is Dennis' earlier art style. His art can be seen much improved in the Read with Me Bible for toddler version. But don't get me wrong, this version offers more bible stories because it is tailored to a much older reader than the toddler's version. The book contains stories after Jesus rises up to heaven such as Peter heals the sick, and a little bit of stories of Paul. In anyway, if you are thinking of buying a bible book for a 3-5 graders I think this is a perfect book to get. Or if you're an adult who enjoys art like I do then buy it.

Read with me Bible
Bought this for my granddaughter who is just learning to read and loves to read. She has started asking more questions about Jesus so this book is perfect. It will be a Christmas present for her. I've looked through it and it is true to the Bible. I love that it has the words you should know part to help explain words.

The best we’ve found!
Look no further for an excellent children’s Bible! I had this Bible when I was a child and now I’m reading it to my children. The binding on my copy was starting to lose pages, so I ordered this updated version. The text is only slightly altered in some spots, so virtually unchanged. They removed some of the outdated graphic-art elements from the illustrations, a welcome improvement. We have three other Bible story books and this is our favorite!

Love this Kids Bible!!
I originally bought this children's Bible when our boys were little. We read it so much that the pages started falling out. I then purchased a second one. The pages also started falling out. I remember our youngest boy would sit with this book for long periods of time looking through the pages at the pictures as he was reading it. Good memories. We now have a three year old girl (our boys are 17 and 19) and I just had to find this little Bible and buy it again! The pictures are well done, the Bible gives enough information that the kids learn and great discussion always follows as we look over the pictures. I LOVE it and am SO GLAD it is still in print!!! The BEST children's Bible I have seen...and I have purchased several of them! ...and if the pages start falling out again...I'll buy another. I'm not sure if it is all the use the kids put it through or the glue they use. To me, it's worth it!
