Great White - Live And Raw: Deluxe Pack

This was for sure raw.After recently seeing Great White in concert, i needed to have a live concert of them.Since this seemed to be one of the only ones around i bought it.Despite other reviews not happy with it i was expecting not a very good DVD.This was for sure as if someone in the show had their own camera and took a video.It does not meet todays technical dvd's,but this concert was from the 90's.Based on that it was a good concert with their hits songs. I was happy with the purchase

What can I say that is both truthful and yet accurate? Ok well the first concert didn't play properly for me so I have had to order a replacement. That aside the fact is the filming of this concern is just appalling and on 2 tracks in particular, when the camera person decided to try and be clever and shoot this at a slower speed, it looks terrible and the music and the filming are completely out of sync as a result. I think we will bypass this one completely. It is a put it on and enjoy the music whilst you do something rather than try and watch it, if you do you will be very frustrated and probably annoyed, listening is far better. The 2nd concert however is heaps better, it much better filmed by someone who either has got the hang of it or more likely is completely different and more of a professional in the field. The result is a watchable concert that captures the real and the only Great White band, a band I know well and love greatly as they really are with the sweat, the fun, the energy and the atmosphere and for that alone its worth buying. Professionally filmed glossy concerts, lose that completely, they are too technical and perhaps too perfect whereas anyone who goes to concerts will tell you there is nothing like being there, and you don't see everything, but you hear it and absorb it instead. The bonus CD is okay. It is nothing very special but I am not paying premium money and there is nothing this band have released that I don't have so I wasn't expecting to find anything above and beyond that which I already own. The name of this DVD is very apt is is very raw and very live. The real Great White concerts of old were just like that, there was nothing like them and I so miss them. As a package this is worth buying for the 2nd concert. The CD is a nice bonus and the interview is Jack being Jack so you do get your dollars worth. 5* for the music, 3* for the 2nd concert and minus 5* for the first concert. Average that out and the 3* star I am awarding is fair.

Great White Live and Raw Deluxe Pack includes one dvd with two separate concerts and a bonus audio cd with rerecordings of classic Great White hits as well as cover songs.I was hesitant to purchase this based on the reviews critical of the quality. Upon viewing this concerts myself, I found many of the negative reviews overstated the lack of audio & visual quality of the set. The picture is not up to par with something that was filmed for the purpose of release. It is more in line with say something the band would archive for themselves or some of the concerts in the Kissology sets. It's far from terrible, but is a step or two down from most concert dvds. I also found the audio to be decent, again not excellent but far from poor quality, and if one wishes to compare this set to a bootleg concert, I would rate this as a high quality bootleg. The picture and sounds usually is not this good on bootlegs.Basically the title says it all: Great White Live and Raw. For a good price you get two complete concerts and one audio cd, if you purchase the deluxe edition. Considering everything you get for the $, this set is a great deal. I'm glad I choose to ignore all the negative comments & purchase this for myself. I am more than pleased.

Yes I did read the review's. Most every one called it a bootleg. But I wanted something by Great White. So if you are like me, you know that there is not much out there by them. So I thought 10 bucks what the hell and ordered it. And I am glad I did! It is not very well done I have to admit. But calling it a bootleg, not so sure that is far. If it is a bootleg, then it is one of the best I have seen so far! Fact is it seems to have been shot with one camera. Which is'nt all that bad for one guy. The sound is rough at the start of my disc, which get alittle better after awhile. But never really sounds great, kind a daul or flat. Thus the 3 stars its ok, not awsome. Best part is that it is Great White, back in the day.

I'd love to be able to give this a better mark, but the quality of the video and audio just isn't there. If you are a long time fan of the band, like I am, it's worth having as a time capsule look back, and for the interview with JR. (The story alone makes it a collectible, IMO. I enjoyed watching it, but wish it had been done a little better. It just doesn't convey the talent of this group!

Very happy with the DVD. The sound and picture isn't the best but the songs are great. It's just too bad the quality wasn't better.

他の方が書かれている通り記録用の映像だと断定して間違いないです。とは言え、ブレなどは少ないので関係者が撮影したものだと思います。amazon.comでも賛否両論で、こんなクオリティでもグレイト・ホワイトのライブ映像が見られるだけで嬉しい！ととるか、こんな映像をオフィシャルでリリースする事に対して怒るか、購入者の判断が分かれるところです。個人的にはこんな映像（音声）しか記録していないのか？と不思議なのですが、こういうのが出ると言う事は無いのでしょうね。一応、フルで2本のライブが収録されています。1品目はLive at galaxy(約1時間50分）で、途中カメラ内蔵の日付がチラッと出るのですが、それに間違いがなければ90年8月28日のライブです。どちらかと言えばブルージー寄りなライブです。映像は（音声もですが）良くありません。ちょっと良く撮れたブートレグだと思って差し支えないです。2本目はLine at Modesto CA(約1時間17分）。1本目よりは多少映像は良いです。最後にインタビューが約17分ほど収録されています。まぁ、当たり前ですがこれが一番画質が良いです。グレイト・ホワイトのオフィシャルのライブ映像がない以上仕方ないのですが、正直1000円程度でCDも付いていると言う付加価値がなければ「なんじゃこりゃ！？金返せ！」レベルです。CDはまだ聞いていないのですがDVDに関しては本当にブートレグを買うような広い気持ちでないとガッカリ感は半端ないです。私個人としてはやはりきちんと撮影されたライブDVDが観たいです。ついでですが、一応Stereo2.0とSurround 5.1が選択できますが、それに意味があるのかどうか・・・？

バンドの記録用素材と思われるものからフルレングスで2本のライブを収録。どちらも１カメですが、それなりに良く撮れてます。特に後半のＭＯＤＥＳＴでのライブは、結構綺麗だし、カメラワークも悪くないです。白鮫のライブの上手さ、観客の熱狂ぶりが良く伝わってきます。音は割りと綺麗です。その辺は、流石にオフィシャルなブートといったところ。確かにもうちょっと若い頃のライブがオフィシャルの綺麗な映像で観られたら最高なんでしょうけど、こういうものが商品になるということは、これ以上のものは無いっていうことなんでしょうね、残念ですが。CDは、DVDのライブ音源では無く、セルフカバー＋カバーといった内容。詳しいクレジットが無いので良く分かりませんが・・・レーベルであるDEADLINEがよくやる企画ものの一つかと思います。ファンなら持っていても良いのではないでしょうか。

非常に劣悪な画像です。ホームビデオで客席からシューティングされたような画質です。まったく、ライブDVDとしての商品力はゼロです。ただし、CDが付属しておりまして、CDはなかなか良いです。価格を考え、CDとしての商品として捉えれば、★が1＋です。コレクターズアイテムです。リージョンはフリーです。
