Color Depositing Mask Packette, 1 Fl. Oz.

I love this. I've been using it for years and can't believe I haven't reviewed it until now. I've gotten this small packet and the larger tube, and for some reason I think the small pouch works better. You do have to ignore the directions and leave it on for longer than 5-7 minutes. Damp hair is good, dry hair might be even better, but it is harder to "have enough" when the hair is dry, if you know what I mean. I usually do at least a half hour if not more like an hour. I'll put it on and do some housework/cleaning or whatever then shower to rinse it out. It does make the hair softer which I can attest to with this latest round. Before, I used to use it on my natural brunette hair, and it would give it some depth and oomph when I wanted to refresh. My natural cool light/medium brown lightens and goldens in the sun, especially here in SoCal. So this provides a great return to my roots, with a bit of a deeper/darker tone. This latest round using, I was attempting to remedy a salon balayage situation. I had gone to the hairdresser to get a specific look, not at all blonde. I had said I didn't want to be blonde, I didn't want to be yellow, and showed a picture to the stylist and made sure we were on the same page. Unfortunately, the processes she performed on my hair, made it super blonde, and even after toning it down twice, I did not leave with the hair I had explicitly asked for. Days later, looking in the mirror, I had mostly yellow blonde hair with dark roots. It looked like I had done a blonde process about 4 months ago, and my hair was tattered. I'd been dealing with insane snarls for the past month, feeling washed out every time I looked in the mirror, and overall lamenting my decision to drop hundreds of dollars at the salon for exactly what I didn't want. ANYWAY, all this to say that today, after trimming my hair (I don't think I'll pay for even a haircut for a while now) I applied a pouch of this mask, left it on for about an hour before rinsing it out, and I am loving the results. I can't seem to get a picture that does justice to the reality, but I'll share what I've got, nonetheless. The blonde highlights are still there, especially on the ends, but it's overall much more my style as I feel like a brunette and not a blonde again. I feel like myself. I apologize for not taking a before photo to show the difference. The color is wonderful, because it is not green toned, and it's not red toned. It is purple, neutral purple. It doesn't make hair magenta or anything. It's just a great brown. I personally need this purple tone, because green doesn't work, and red doesn't work. I'm actually confused on my coloring because I have purple veins and green eyes. I think that's why purple works for me, but I think purple can work for most being a neutral tone. If I had had two pouches to work with, I would've started with dry hair and left it on as long as possible. In any case, I am happy with the results and look forward to seeing how it fades as it washes out. It is temporary, but I'm fine with that. I'd rather have to reapply than lament another permanent process. Did I mention I can run my fingers through my hair for the first time in weeks? Amazing.

My hair: damaged, coarse and bleached. I recently had my hair colored red after being a blonde since 2018. Since I moved to my new home last year, I noticed my hair was feeling harder and looking darker after just one or 2 washes after redoing my hair. I realized my water was the problem so I installed a new filter for my shower head. But my hair was too damaged so I decided to go red and give bleaching my hair a break. But we had to bleach the top, which had been a shadow root to even the entire red color all over my head. But wow that last time of bleaching left my hair soooo damaged and brittle. I’ve never experienced so much breakage. I had been using Olaplex for a few years so my hair was healthy before moving to my new home. So that’s the hair I started with before using this product—hard, brittle, breaking off easily, stiff and rough to the touch and extremely porous. In other words—terrible! My red hair washed out ridiculously fast! This product: after reading many reviews here and watching many YouTube videos, I decided to give this a try. I didn’t want to color my hair again since it’s only been a month since I went red. First, I can’t really afford that and second, I don’t want any more damage. After seeing the copper on most, it was way too much orange for my liking. I wanted a true copper/auburn, not orange. So I mixed (as someone here suggested) 2 copper packs with 1 cocoa color pack. I was so scared to see what would turn out. I mixed them very well in a bowl. I then even distributed it through my hair, piece by piece and combed it through . I left it on for about 10 minutes altogether. And woah! I was blown away by how soft and bouncy my hair felt after all the damaged I had recently experienced. I couldn’t believe it, but not only that, the color looks amazing! I have received so many compliments!! This color combo looks incredible! It’s exactly the color I was going for without the added damage. I haven’t washed it yet so I willl have to update with that information. I plan on purchasing the larger bottles since I absolutely plan on using this long term. What a great way for me to keep my color without causing damage to my hair. I’m so excited I found this and a thank you to the person who suggested mixing these two colors. It works like a charm!! I can’t recommend this enough. 👍🏼👍🏼

I ordered 2 of the sample packs of platinum, my hair is bleached blonde an long an 2 packs worked but didn't super saturate I could of used 3 ,it did not tint or deposit color to my hair was not silver at all i left it in for about 25 mins on towel dried hair it just basically toned my hair so it was brighter blonde and made my hair really soft

I bought this because I have naturally dirty blonde hair, and during the summertime The sun mixed with chlorine will basically bleach parts of my hair. I didn’t really care for the blonde parts so I wanted a mask to try to cover it up. It did exactly that. The color was actually really nice and I did enjoy the results however, we have a white tile which is porcelain and a quartz sill plate, which runs the entire outline of the shower. When I went to remove the product, I did it almost into the drain because I didn’t want to have a huge mess. However, obviously some of it did splatter and the brown got onto the tile as well as the quartz. The tile and grout cleaned up very easily but this dye stayed in the quartz. I am on day four of trying to get it out and it does look like I will be successful. However, the amount of effort I had to put into cleaning isn’t worth the pay off. would not re-purchase however, if there is a clear version of this gloss, I would just because it did make my hair feel very very nice.

Great color. Washes out quickly with hot water though. It doesn’t stain your hands/skin as bad as others.

Was excited to try a temporary rose pink on my platinum blonde hair. Color arrived quickly and it looked like there was more conditioner in the bottle than I normally use for regular conditioner. I washed my hair and applied the conditioner and massaged it in really well all over my hair, much more thorough than I normally would. The smell was great. Then I took a look in the mirror and it was so uneven 😔 It looked pinker at the top and my roots. I cut the package open to get out every drop to put more in the middle section but no luck. I tried to squeeze some color to the middle section, massaged it even more as good as I could and then washed it off. I used a blow dryer to dry my hair to see if the color would lighten up enough on dry hair but it clearly looked uneven. The color took on in the sections where I applied the squirts of color first I believe - massaging conditioner in like a regular conditioner won’t spread the color even though it feels even distributed if you know what I mean. I stopped drying my hair and washed and conditioned my hair again, using extra shampoo in the areas there hair was pinker. I’m not in love with the final result though it didn’t look hideous after washing some of the color out. I don’t love the rose gold, it looked darker, more like a faint magenta to me, especially at the top of my head - I was aiming for a subtle pastel pink. The unevenness problem could have been solved if there was more color in the package or if I had known I needed 2 packs for my not very thick medium long hair. Will go with a whole bottle and different color next round.

I purchased the Rose Gold Moroccanoil Color Depositing Mask to refresh my faded salon rose gold color between appointments, and I am beyond impressed with the results! After about 6 weeks, my rose gold had nearly washed out and was looking more blonde and copper. I applied the mask after shampooing, left it on for about 7-10 minutes, and the transformation was incredible. It brought back beautiful rose gold tones without looking artificial or overly pink. What I loved most was that it didn't make my hair darker. Instead, it added shine, softness, and a gorgeous rosy glow while still allowing my blonde highlights to show through. My hair felt conditioned and healthy afterward, and the color looked fresh and dimensional—like I had just left the salon. For anyone with faded rose gold, strawberry blonde, or blonde highlights looking for a fun color refresh, I highly recommend this product. I'll definitely be keeping this in my hair care routine between salon visits!

Yeah, so the color definitely worked! Grabbed onto my highlights really well. I mixed one pack of burgundy and one pack of copper together because the copper looked a little too orange, but it definitely came out darker than I intended. Didn't really work on my roots but that might be user error. I put it on, set a timer for 10min and washed it out. I have not tried to wash it yet, so we'll see how that goes. But it's a good fun color and my hair is really soft after the conditioner.

Si tienes una melena larga, vas a necesitar un tamaño mayor. Mi pelo es castaño oscuro, aunque tengo mechas rubias. El efecto se nota sin ser nada acusado, un rosa dorado muy ligero que queda bien. Al aplicarlo hay que tener cuidado porque pueden quedar zonas más rosas que otras, y en 2 lavados se va (lo cual puede ser lo que buscas o no, en mi caso era exactamente lo que quería). Me compré el bote grande porque me gustó mucho

I’ve been looking for a copper depositing conditioner to maintain my ginger copper hair between dyes, this is by far the best I’ve tried. Most copper depositing products leave my hair far too much on the red side, and I prefer my hair to be true copper on the orange side, this does the job amazingly! One thing to bare in mind it is VIBRANT, and I do prefer a bit more of a natural look but after one wash it tones down a bit, and maybe next time I’ll leave on for less time or mix with a little bit of conditioner to see how that goes. I left it on for 7 mins. Smells amazing, leaves hair feeling great and after 1 wash it’s still noticeable. Perfect for between dyes, I’ll be buying the full air bottle for sure!
