for less than 20 dollars, its a really good product
I didnt give 5 stars because of the manual, not in the box and the one on amazon doesn't really help but with youtube it's manageable.

Great for the price
The gist: the kit is about 85% complete, the glass is easy to install, and it all works well.I'd almost give this kit 5 stars except for a few salient omissions: the lack of instructions, and a couple of parts which I think should have been included. There are no instructions included in the kit, and the ones in this listing are garbage. Look to other sources for how to replace the digitizer.Everything that is included is of adequate quality, and everything was useful. I needed to provide a heat gun and safety glasses (do wear safety glasses, prescription glasses would work just as well, or a face shield--i had little pieces of glass pinging me in the face as I removed the very cracked digitizer). All told the replacement took me 3 hours to complete. I followed instructions on the iFixit site; there were a few discrepancies but fairly trivial ones, and it included many tips, cautions, and comments, in addition to the directions, that were more than adequate to make the repair fairly easy. As I mentioned, the glass was a mess of cracks, I covered the screen with a couple of layers of packaging tape to hold the majority of shards together as I worked. Once the glass was off everything went pretty smoothly. The two things which I think should have been included are adhesive and gloves. The glass is taped down, and at least in my case, the tape is almost impossible to recover. The gloves would make keeping the screen and glass free of finger prints. Both would be pretty cheap.

Works....kinda
I consider myself handy and this was a bit of a pain to perform. Maybe because my son's iPad had a screen with a lot of cracks and made it difficult to remove. I recommend heating up the adhesive quite a bit to allow for easy removal. Also lay the small screws out in the order that they were removed because they are different sizes. Good lighting would help too. I did manage to complete the job, but the glass is slightly bulging where the connector wire folds over and the touchscreen behaves very differently than the OEM. Sometimes a lag, sometimes very sensitive. I am curious to see how my 5 year old reacts the next time he plays with his Ipad. We will likely just buy him a new one. ALSO, what were some of the tools for, I did not see them in the instruction videos.**EDIT** I contacted Amazon customer service to receive a replacement screen, which they promptly sent out. After installing, the iPad now works perfectly and my son is happy. I must have received a defective glass the first time around.

Seems to be a great replacement!
This replacement screen seems as good as the original screen that came on my iPad mini. It has been on around a month and I cannot tell a difference. The kit came with everything I needed (minus the heat gun- I would recommend a heat gun rather than a hair dryer. I also recommend using a pair of rubber gloves so you do not get oily finger smudges on the led screen) I watched a video on YouTube searching “FixCracked iPad mini 2.” I watched the video again and paused as I did each step. This is the first screen I ever attempted to do. I read all the reviews and saw where it took people 6 hours and stuff .... took me about 1 hour 45 minutes and that’s including stopping to eat supper. I would also say I am pretty mechanically inclined though as I am never afraid to dive into things to fix them or see how they work. The only down fall to this product is the adhesive. It does not like to stick just where the cables bend. I did ensure they were bent back the exact way it came off and was extra careful with this. It honestly does not cause a problem though because it is in a life proof case so it holds it tight (by the way it was in a life proof case when the screen completely shattered after being dropped only about 2 feet off a couch so boo on LifeProof.) I would recommend this product and suggest watching the videos so you know what you’re doing.

Be sure to watch YouTube videos first and as you do the install...
I am now on my third purchase of this item. We have an old Mini2 that my kids now use, and last fall they dropped and broke the screen. Considering the age of the device, it didn't warrant the store expense of replacement, so I started down the road of self repair. Despite the fact that the instructions are far from the best, my first attempt was respectively successful except that I missed fully tightening one screw. Once I discovered that error, the adhesive strips were already engaged and the install was past the point of return. Even without everything fully seated, the device worked fine for a couple weeks, but it was inevitable that the screen would eventually break again just from pressure being applied to the screen. After having more experience with installs, I recommend using the dental floss technique to remove your old screen (watch for that on YouTube videos), and don't really focus on the printed directions sheet, as the images leave much to be desired. On my second attempt, I cut my install time in half following along with YouTube videos and everything was flawless. Unfortunately, my current disappointment is because the screen worked great for a few months on the second install, but it has now lost functionality in one zone of the screen. An iPad with a dead zone is a serious annoyance, so I will be on round 3 of installs now because of a manufacturing issue. The dead zone screen is not my kids fault as they are scared to the bone in handling any of our devices now and there is no physical damage. At least the use care got driven home without the cost being too bad, and I should be even faster on round 3 of my installs. Even if this fails, I'm still under the store repair cost.

So far so good!
The screen has so far has held up well. Cannot tell the difference between it and the original. My kit did not come with the instructions. But there was tons of videos on YouTube, so that didn’t bother me to much. Adhesive over all is nice, but where the corner had damage there was bent metal. I did get it to fit back on nicely, but that corner did lift up. I feel if the adhesive was a just a little more sticky it would of been no problem. Seeing how broken screens usually happen from drops etc. I feel it would make the most sense to go with a stronger adhesive for the replacement screen vs original.

Decent quality but poor fit/adhesion.
I ran into one significant problem with this product: the bottom-right corner of the digitizer does not seat properly in the iPad's frame. This is likely due to some cabling/circuitry that is on the back side of the digitizer in that area. As a result, both the right edge and the bottom edge of the digitizer do not adhere to the frame and simply lift after some time. Eventually I used Kapton tape along these edges to keep the digitizer in place and as a dust seal.Otherwise the quality is good and the digitizer is fully functional. Does not appear to have any oleophobic coating so fingerprints and smudges accumulate quickly.

Very good product and seller
I am very happy with this seller and the product; the screen was delivered in a padded envelope which was folded in half by the post man !!!! no fault of the seller - but they replaced it at once. Excellent seller - do not hesitate to use them. A full set of decent tools are supplied - you only need a hairdryer. My screen was totally shattered but the LCD worked so I went for the black replacement screen and the screen works perfectly now - sadly my LCD was seated rather deeply within the case (possibly after the pressure of the fall onto its face) and it cracked while using a plectrum along the edge to release it ...so please take heed and use dental floss to release the glue under the LCD, without putting any pressure on it at all. Thread a long piece of dental floss under each corner of the LCD and once it is underneath then slide it down towards the bottom, stopping about an inch off the bottom as there are connections there that you don't want to break - if only I had tried that first I would now have a perfect ipad again - *sigh*
