It holds the batteries
As someone else said. This thing holds batteries as advertised. Any bad reviews come from people who didn't correctly size what they need. If you need a 1/2 aa holder with wires ready to go - this is for you.

Perfect
Had an Albany high speed door with a bad encoder battery. The battery was soldered to the board. I removed it, soldered in this holder and installed the proper battery. This saved $1600. Seriously.

Works on my old Mac SE
I used this to replace the soldered in battery on my Mac SE. It has long enough wires where I was able to get it away from board so I don't have future problems.

Comes in handy when the battery dies rather than Sautter a battery into the board.
