This helmet saved my life (well from a sure concussion at the very least)!
I hardly ever write product reviews but I was definitely compelled to do it this time and, perhaps, my experience will help some shoppers out there. This helmet gets 5 stars across the board from me. I don't ski often and didn't want to rent a helmet so I decided to purchase my own. I also did not want to spend upwards of $100 just for a name. I had done a good amount of shopping and reading reviews online before settling on the white VANRORA Ski Helmet.Right out of the box, the helmet seemed well built and it looked great. I was surprised, however, there was very little padding on the very top of the helmet (this is the only knock on the helmet). Everything is so snug, warm, comfortable and adjustable. But since I would be wearing a ski mask underneath, I figured that padding would help out on the top (and it did).IT WORKED!!! I was skiing at Copper Mountain the last week in February, the conditions were not great. It was cold and they hadn't gotten new snow in days - so the slopes were rather icy. My helmet was so snug and warm - with the vents closed. The slider used to close and open the vents is so easy to use (even with gloves on). It's a great feature. Later in the day when the sun was high and the temps rose I loved being able to open the vents to let some of my heads heat escape. Great design.IT SAVED MY LIFE!!! I am 50 years old and haven't skied the Rockies in 30 years. I quickly found myself on runs that were out of my league - but I'm too stubborn to admit that. Well, I was whisking down a very steep (and icy) blue run at high rate of speed - barely under control. Then I lost my focus for just a moment and my ski tips crossed, caught the slopes, and flung me head-first into the snow/ice like a sack of potatoes. It was right under the ski lift of course and I heard the laughter, followed by some jeers, and then at least one "oh, I'm sorry". I sat up and untangled my skis (they hadn't released), collected myself for a few minutes to make sure I had all my faculties, wasn't seeing stars, and didn't have any major injuries. I was okay.As it turned out, I landed forehead first and the helmet absorbed the entire impact and prevented a most certain concussion (or death). The only head injuries suffered were some slight bruising where my goggles were driven into my nose bridge and cheeks. I also had a small scrape on the bridge of my nose and sensitivity under my right eye for a week or so. I only mention this to emphasize the high rate of speed I was moving (or "flying") at.Further evidence of solid protection: The next day I was squished in the side spot of a high speed quad lift. When I turned around to reach out, the chair lift was right there and actually hit me in the head!!! What an idiot. It really hit my helmet pretty hard - yet I didn't feel a thing and there's even a scratch on the helmet to prove it wasn't just a love tap.The helmet fits so nice and snug that there wasn't any jostling or discomfort during either of these situations. If you are looking for an inexpensive helmet that looks great, fits snug, is warm, and [most importantly] works, I can't recommend the VANRORA Ski Helmet enough. Thanks for keeping me safe, VANRORA.

Comfortable
This helmet is well made and really comfortable. I used it with my ski goggles and they worked perfectly with this helmet.

Great helmets
Bought 2 of these helmets for a recent Utah trip. Now, I never whacked my head on anything so I can’t speak for safety, but it felt like I would be protected if I did. Function wise these helmets are great. There’s enough padding and insulation to keep your head warm and comfortable. No beanies needed. Also the boa dial on the back makes it so it won’t wiggle around on you and the vents can open or close to help regulate temperature. I was able to stick a GoPro mount to the front with no issues. The goggles that were worn in the photo are smith riot and dragon goggles. Both fit very nicely with the helmets. Very pleased with purchase!!

Excellet customer service
I've been using this helmet for a year and so far so good, but I need to give a special shout out to their customer support. I lost the buckle on my helmet last week during my ski trip so I took a shot in contacting them on shipping me an additional buckle, and they did!! Just received the missing buckle yesterday in my mail and very happy with how responsive they are. 5 stars on their support even 1 year after my purchase.

Fabulous and saved my life!
I was skiing with this helmet last Friday. I went down a double black diamond where I unexpectedly hit a very large snow jump and was thrown into the air. I was then vertical with the ground (my head closest to) when I came down and landed on it with force. This helmet protected if not saved my life. I would very much recommend this helmet to my friends and family.

Warm, comfortable, and stylish
This helmet was amazing! My husband and I went skiing for two days in the Rockies in -7F (-15C) with a strong wind chill of -22 (-30C) and my ears were the only part of my body NOT cold, thanks to this helmet!!It was SO comfortable, kept my ears incredibly warm (literally, they weren’t even the slightest bit cold – at all!), and the dial at the back was great for tightening the helmet into the perfect, comfortable size for me.My goggles stayed on perfectly well over the helmet with no issues, and as you can see the helmet came down my forehead to a perfect height that sat well with the goggles. The flexible snap at the back of the helmet to keep the goggles strap in place was awesome and we had no issues with it, whereas I’ve heard of those breaking on lots of other helmets. This one is flexible so I couldn’t see it breaking easily at all.I can’t speak to how well it stands up against falls (thankfully!), but it has quite a good amount of padding inside so I imagine it would operate quite well if you were to bang your head. It’s an incredibly light, comfortable, and warm helmet and I also love the look of it!I’m so glad I purchased it and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a ski or snowboard helmet!

The ear muffs aren’t truly audio compatible . But you can modify them to be.
The media could not be loaded. The ear muffs have a little tiny opening that is not big enough for any helmet audio. I found a work around, shown in the video, to make the hole bigger. For the money, it’s a great helmet overall. It’s still the best helmet for the price by far. I don’t have any other complaints on it, it’s a solid helmet. I tried it on with the helmet audio after making the video and found that it is pretty comfortable actually. The ear muffs are damn near impossible to get out the first time. They pull out. But the plastic part that clicks in is very difficult to pull out for the first time. I had to pull on it as hard as I could without damaging it, and I am a mechanic with strong hands. It still took me like 10 minutes to get them out. I don’t see how a girl would be able to pull these out. But once they are pulled out once, then they come out quite a bit easier. The latch just has to be broken in.Overall I would still highly recommend this product. I know there are some quirks but you can’t expect a budget helmet to be as nice as a 300$ helmet. That’s just not realistic.
