Even though these are black currants and not actually raisins, they have a raisin-ish taste in faux oatmeal cookies. I made Keto "Oatmeal" cookies from "all day i dream about food" and subbed 1/2 cup of these for the choc chips/cranberries in the recipe, as well as some oatmeal concentrate flavoring. (after hydrating in water for an hour and draining the water and patting dry). It legit tastes like a heathly "Oatmeal Raisin" cookie: with zero oatmeal and zero raisins.

I purchased these black currants actually by mistake, I meant to purchase them in powder form, but they turned out to be a good purchase.My intentions were to use them to help with my eye pressure, but let me say before I go any further, that I gave them a low rating for price because of the amount you get for the price. It would good if the quantity matched the price, although it says you get 30 servings using a tablespoon, but I’m not sure about that. But I have been using these along with the black currant supplements, it’s been about 3 weeks now, (using the supplements) and as I sit here today writing this review, I don’t know the last time my eyes have felt this good. The past 2 weeks or so, I have been adding these dried currants to my green smoothies and my matcha lattes, and if the way my eyes feel is any indication that they are getting better because I’ve added these 2 things to my diet, I’m extremely elated. I begin to feel a different within 10-15 mins after consuming them. I drink my smoothie or latte first thing in the morning, I take other supplements as well, and I use prescription drops for my eyes. And I take a black currant supplement before bed at night. And still I feel almost an instant difference in my eyes. If the price of these berries were better, it would be awesome. However, I will purchase more and I would recommend them, particularly for those who are dealing with interocular eye pressure. I’m hoping that the improvement I am is noticeable when I go back to see my doctor.

If you have never had currants, like me, the flavor is something of a shock. Not entirely unpleasant. I like this company though.

Real black currents are REALLY hard to find. The ad says they’re dried, which made me think they were dried like raisins are. They’re actually freeze dried, which means they’re really brittle. They’re also REALLY tart (more than I expected) so I’m not popping them in my mouth as planned and made cookies with them instead. Just thought you should know so you won’t be surprised.

No taste, too dry, overpriced, do not buy unless you are familiar with this product, Amazon will not allow for returning this product.

I've been looking for black currants in any form for a long time: jam, frozen, dried. Finally, I found and was pleasantly surprised that the berries have retained their shape, and also have a sweet and sour taste, my favorite.

Very bitter

We use this product to make tea. Very good
