Q: Is the tape narrow inwidth to seal an envelope

The tape is very narrow. It is appropriately 1/4”. Will definitely fit an envelope flap. Hope this helps.

Q: How easy is it to get ahold of the paper backing to peel it off?

Once I have placed the tape onto my project where I want it, I use my craft knife point to lift a corner of the backing paper, (you can also do this with a sharp pin) pull it back peel of the rest of the paper. Then place the taped section onto the intended place on my project. This paper backing is thick so only prick the paper backing not the main paper of your project. Do a test first, always test when trying something new.

Q: Is this tape flat (like regular tape) or does it have that foamy feel like the 3m hook tape)?

Mine is flat like regular tape.

Q: Is this product acid free and safe to use with photos and scrapbooking?(will not cause discoloration)

The description says it is acid free.
