I wasn't sure I needed this at the price tag, since you can always use a plate or cling film. But I like that it fits perfectly and yet with so little (zero) force over the inner pot. If I have something stinky in my spare inner pot and put that in the fridge, it actually has the stiffness so that I can put stuff on top (unlike cling film) but won't stink up my fridge like a plate would.
