We gave this to our kids’ friend for her 6th birthday, and our daughter asked for one for her 9th birthday. We gave one to a 5 year old girl the other day again and her 8 year old brother wanted one for his birthday too! It seems like a hit with both boys and girls and it is perfect to take to a camping trip. Our kids always fight over stuff but since kids can draw on both sides, they have so much fun drawing together. And I am a big fan of Faber-Castell art stuff for its quality and colors. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a gift for kids!

Fun set that my 5 year was excited to receive. He is forever asking for paper to draw on. He was a fair amount of markers, an outdoor easel, etc. But this is a nice compact set for keeping in his small bedroom. The tools are just right for a 5+ year old. I wouldn’t recommend them for a younger child as they are quite compact/travel size. The drawers operate with some sticking but my 5 year old had no problem opening and closing them. He was able to draw using the colored pencils and other tools. The chalkboard was fun as well, just be prepared for the chalk dust. My son was unable to clip a sheet of paper onto the easel on his own, and the sheet kept slipping off of the clips but it was a minor annoyance as he just stabilized the sheet against the white board. One last thing I’d like to point out is that the whiteboard/chalkboard eraser is really scratchy/low quality. I’d look into replacing it with a smoother eraser. We will do so eventually. My son didn’t complain, but I know the eraser will be the first thing to wear out. Overall, I still give this item 5 stars for the value and amount of items you get. I’m also a big fan of the way all of the items store in the case. I also like that the unit uses standard size 8.5x11 paper. Other items I was shopping used odd sized paper.

I love the quality of pencils, crayons and markers. Very versatile and great item. The only thing I don't like is that Faber castle cheap out with drawing pad. The paper in the pad is toilet paper quality . Gray and very thin. Not something you could use with pencils or markers.

My kid loved it. Excellent for plane or car trips.

Bought for my grandson and he loves it! Very sturdy and well made. The art supplies are very nice as well. Definitely worth the money and would purchase again for a gift.

This is a great travel companion. My kid was able to draw anywhere from the taxy, airport wait, airplane, hotel, etc. The chalk side is not that useful for the travel use case because of the dust going all over the place but in general this is a no-brainer for preschool kids.

Far too large and clunky - ended up returning the item. Bought it to take on a flight for the kids, but it wouldn’t even fit in their carry on.

My grandson really love this! He especially likes the easel part of it and the chalkboard!
