Rivet Removal Tool, Model Number 65007

This cuts rivet removal time in half for guys that don't get a lot of practice drilling out rivets. You do have to have two hands free to operate it effectively, so the work piece has to be clamped or attached to an airplane. You can set the depth of the hole you'll drill at the front and quickly change from bit to bit as needed. Then just put it on the rivet and drill, it automatically centers and works every time.

I received the tool within a few days of ordering. The tools were well made but one of the drill bits had a stripped screw and would not screw down properly into the main unit. I emailed the company and they promptly sent me a new drill bit (1/8" one) and the one I needed to use. All old rivets for the job drilled out cleanly. Good tool if you are trying to avoid scratches on the job.

Removes the rivet head without enlarging the holes in my Airstream.I got to use it for about 100 rivets and it worked great until the spring clip that holds it together started flying off (which I ended up losing) and I can’t find a parts list for a replacement.Now I have to go to Lowes with what looks like a silencer to get one that fits. Glad I live in Georgia…

I was about to give this tool 1 star out of 5 because it is not intuitive to use at all (especially if you've never worked with rivets) Once I learned how to use it correctly, it worked as advertised.Here is some advice to the manufacturer - include instructions! I had to go to youtube and watch a few videos to learn how to use this sucker. I'm not allowed to post outside URLs, or I would have posted the video here - but search for it and watch it before you use this tool. Also, make sure to use the right drill bit size (it comes in four sizes, make sure to use the right size for your rivet) - this makes a whole world of difference.

The concept is great. Product is a good idea but the drill bits that come with will not even do one rivet before it fails! DO NOT BUY THIS! Bits are not replaceable but product has potential with better development.

Tool worked great. Packaging lacked any instructions so it was trial and error at first. Would be nice to have an alignment fitting that was a little bigger the their largest included. I was able to accomplish my job though.

Works as it should. Drilling out universal rivets is easy with this tool.

I don't feel this tool helped me in the slightest, in fact, I did a better job drilling the pieces without it. Make matters worse, the drill bits are difficult to get back out of the tool after it is used.I would just save the money for a good drill and drill bits and go slow with the drilling until you feel comfortable.
