An incredible EDC flashlight!
H04 RC MiniIntro:I purchased the Skilhunt H04 RC Mini with the High CRI LH351D emitter. Prime shipping was super fast, and I can say I’m very impressed with this light.Build:Build quality is excellent. Threading is smooth and the anodization is even throughout. This is a very lightweight and compact EDC that uses an 18350 battery. O-rings have been installed on the light to make it waterproof and spares are included with the light. Cooling fins at the head of the light allow for good runtimes on turbo before stepdown. And a strong magnet in the tailcap easily allows the light to support its own weight when stuck to ferrous surfaces. The switch on this light is notably good. Switch feedback is pleasant and crisp with no mushiness or overtravel. The battery compartment will accommodate protected or unprotected 18350s with or without button tops.Emitter and tint:Examining the head of the light more closely you'll find a smooth reflector and a well centered Samsung LH351D emitter. The smooth reflector gives the light a bit of throw. There's minor tint shift and the faintest whisper of green/yellow from the emitter. Overall, the tint is good, and the high CRI makes colors pop that are washed out by most lower 70 CRI emitters. If you haven't experienced high CRI emitters consider the Samsung LH351D in 5000k for this light. It's an excellent high performance neutral temp emitter.Beam Quality:The TIR of this light produces a large and useful hotspot with ample throw. The spill is not excessive and it is very useful. The beam pattern is excellent with a hint of tint shift as mentioned earlier. In turbo mode, the light pushes close to 1000 lumens which far exceeds the needs of most users. 5000k color temp is very neutral and a good all around performer.Charging:The light uses USB A to magnetic charging which is very convenient. It comes with a magnetic charging cord which you simply affix to the charging pad on the light to commence charging. There is no need to remove the battery to charge it up. Charge times are reasonable with no overcharging or overheating noted.Driver:The driver used is a very efficient constant current driver. This means that as your batteries are depleted the driver will allow the light to maintain steady brightness levels. You won't see any dip in brightness until low voltage protection is triggered and the light turns off. Runtimes are excellent and the driver is very efficient. The stepdown in turbo mode is timed as opposed to temperature driven. Otherwise, the driver seems to adjust brightness in response to temp. No PWM is visible at any brightness.User Interface:The light offers two modes to choose from: A and B. Both modes are programmable and very versatile. It's easy to customize the UI to fit your needs precisely. Mode memory is the default and mode spacing is very good. A true moonlight in both modes is offered. A customized mode B has been perfect for my needs.Ergonomics:This light feels great in the hand. It is extremely compact and well built. The switch location is perfect and the switch itself is one of the most pleasant I've ever operated. The weight and size are perfect for everyday carry. The clip being bezel up is not my preference, but it sits well in the pocket and allows easy access to the switch.Closing Thoughts:The Skilhunt H04 RC Mini has quickly become one of my go-to EDC lights. The combination of build quality, driver efficiency, excellent high CRI emitter, compact form factor, and ease of recharging vaulted it near the top of my list. This light significantly outperforms its price point, and I cannot recommend it highly enough for everyday carry.

Fantastic, Compact EDC Flashlight
The media could not be loaded. The Skilhunt M150 V2 is an extremely compact flashlight that is very bright and simple to use. It’s my current go-to light - I can grab it and know that it will get the job done for anything I need it for. The high CRI LED illuminates a wide area and is pleasant to look at. It’s pretty remarkable how much this little light is able to accomplish for a light in this price range. The build quality on this light is excellent - the anodizing feels very nice in hand, and the grip feels great in hand. The ability to use standard AA batteries is really nice to have as a contingency. The magnetic charging is a cool feature - the connector satisfyingly snaps into place. Other lights with USB-C charging have a rubber cover that has to be properly seared to ensure waterproofing, but with magnetic charging, I don’t have to worry about that. The light also has a regulated output, so the brightness doesn’t drop as the battery voltage drops - a feature that’s not common in lights at this price point. The light contains two separate modes, referred to as Mode A and Mode B. Though Mode A is the default, I recommend switching to Mode B, as it is simple and easy to use. In this mode, a single click turns on and off the light. Click and hold cycles through Moon-L-M-H. Each level additionally can be adjusted based on your preference.I highly recommend this flashlight to anyone who is looking for a bright, pocketable light with high-end features at a reasonable price.

Great light, mediocre UI
The pros: the light itself. It's bright, it's not too blue, it's floody enough to use as a headlamp while being focused enough to illuminate specific details on a roof from the ground. The clip is sturdy, the light doesn't get all that hot (unless you're in turbo, and even then it's not bad), the battery lasts a very long time with normal use, the base magnets are strong and the charge port magnets don't hold metal filings, and it is well built overall. I've dropped mine off several roofs without noticably impairing its function (though its aluminum casing is scratched). The cons: the user interface is a mess and the button is too easy to press.Leaving this light in your pocket inevitably means it will turn on, and usually means it will navigate to some obscure part of the menu tree that requires looking up the menu reference tree to get the thing back to the settings you prefer. I can't simply toss it in a tool box and trust that it'll stay charged and ready to go when I get to the job site. It's small enough that I've been simply clipping it to the outside of my pants, letting the light hang outside my left pocket on its excellent belt clip, and it has been an excellent daily carry and work light for me in that role. I can hit the button and my waist illuminates a dark room well enough while leaving my hands free - that's a win. However, this should not be a daily carry light if you want to wear your flashlights on the inside of your pants.
