durable and amazing

I bought these to go with my new Aarke carbonator, which came with one bottle but I wanted a couple more so I could have an unbroken supply of mineral water rather than using the same bottle over and over. More so as where I live you need to let tap water sit open for a bit to get rid of the taste of whatever tap water is treated with here.These bottles are stylish enough to put on your table, something that cannot be said about 2-litre supermarket bottles. They have a metal base and cap which makes them very stable and contributes to the clean look of the design. They look solid and incredibly well made. While not cheap I predict these will last for many years to come.The bottles come with a list of Do’s and Don’ts (for example they must not be put in the dishwasher, thankfully that information is on a sticker on the bottle itself too) and it’s important to hang on to that list so you can check, as one is bound to forget the detail after a while.Very happy with this purchase.

Die Aarke-Flasche habe ich jetzt seit drei Jahren und sie funktioniert immer noch einwandfrei.Die Flasche ist aus PET-Kunststoff gefertigt. Darauf habe ich beim Kauf besonders geachtet, da ich wusste, dass ich sie häufig benutzen würde. PET ist eine Kunststoffart (Polyethylenterephthalat), die für Getränkeflaschen und Lebensmittelbehälter verwendet wird, während BPA (Bisphenol A) eine chemische Verbindung ist, die zur Herstellung bestimmter Kunststoffe wie Polycarbonat genutzt wird, das man oft in einigen Dosen findet. BPA steht im Verdacht, hormonell wirksam zu sein und kann unter anderem die Schilddrüsenfunktion, Fortpflanzung und Entwicklung beeinflussen. Aus diesem Grund wird BPA kritisch gesehen. PET-Kunststoff hingegen ist BPA-frei und wird von vielen Gesundheitsbehörden weltweit als sicher für den Kontakt mit Lebensmitteln angesehen.Auch das Design der Flasche selbst ist sehr schön – im Vergleich zu vielen anderen Marken – und genau das macht Aarke besonders: Sie ist nicht nur funktional, sondern auch ästhetisch ansprechend. Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dieser Flasche, die hunderte Male, wenn nicht tausende Male, gefüllt wurde (ich liebe Sprudelwasser).Ein kleiner Nachteil, den auch andere erwähnen, ist, dass die Flasche kein (zu) heißes Wasser verträgt – sie darf auf keinen Fall in die Spülmaschine. Zu heißes Wasser kann das PET-Material der Flasche verformen. Das macht die Reinigung etwas umständlicher – man benötigt auf jeden Fall eine Bürste oder ähnliches.
