The Evolution of Civilizations: An Introduction to Historical Analysis Paperback – Illustrated, 1 Jan. 1979

This is a very well thought out and intelligently structured project that looks at society in a wholly different way. It makes a fascinating read and an entertaining one too. I loved reading this almost as much as I love eating ice cream. It's a delight to tuck into with fascinating insights and a new way of looking at history of civilisation.

Very good book but Quigley is weak on prehistory. Many of the trends his highlights in a collapsing civilization are occurring to the West now. Well worth a read.

Excellent book

The examples used in the book are limited to Western and Classical civilisations. Applying his analytic tools to Indic and Chinese civilisations would have also been fruitful. His methodology remains as pertinent today as it did more than fifty years ago when the book was first written.

The book is informative, but I haven't finished it only on page 206 I would like if it had more information on the modern area.

Carroll Quigley was a scientific thinker turned Historian. I would recommend you read this first, then Tragedy and Hope, his most famous work. He is very analytical in his methods of explaining the rise and fall of civilizations. Would recommend this product.
