Tough 1 Extreme Vented Sport Boots Set

Holy Velcro Batman!
Just got these in today, haven't used them yet. They feel high quality and flexible. I am pretty happy with the quality. You can see the vented perforations through the white boots, but it's not terrible. There is an extra "vent" where the two edges come together, but likely this will be covered up by overlap. The Velcro is VERY strong. It holds so well I was afraid the stitching might tear when I opened them. I do hope the Velcro breaks in or it is going to be a pain to use these boots. They will definitely stay on and I would prefer that to weaker Velcro. Very good quality for the price. Tough 1 surprises me again- good quality, durable equipment for an affordable price! I also love their 1200d turnout sheet. Tough with added perks!

Great boots for the price!!
I ordered the white set in medium. They fit my 14.2 quarter horse well and I must say after using them I really think they are worth the money. Great alternative to pro choice smbs which cost double almost. I also ordered the set in black to use for schooling while keeping whites for special events. Please note that the extreme vented whites do have what look like grey dots. At first I wasn't sure if I should keep them. The grey you see is actually the black inside lining. I don't notice it much and I'm not bothered by it because from normal distance they look great. If you need super white boots then maybe these won't be the best match though.

Great Buy and Made Well
These are a great buy! They seem to be made well (time will tell) and are easy to use. I ordered a medium and it fit my 15.1 Tb/QH perfectly. They were a little big (too much overlap on her finer bones) on my 13.3 hand QH and a little small (barely made it around her thicker cannon and fetlock and a bit short on the hinds) on my 15.2 Warmblood cross. Hope that helps you get an idea on sizing. Overall loved the boots and will be buying more.

Satisfied
I was very satisfied with these boots. They were considerably less money (About $45.00) than the SMBII which I have bought in the past. They fit well and are of heavy material and I've had no problem with seams that weren't sewn properly. As others wrote the velcro is REALLY STRONG!!!!!!!!! So be prepared to use some finger strength. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I saw that they were made in China and I prefer to shop American and I think the SMBII are made in the USA.

Have not held up
I have had these boots for one year or less. My horse wears them for turnout, but he is not very active and does not "kick up his heels'". Even though the velcro is extremely tough, (and hard to undo), the boots have not held up. The lining is coming apart from the shell, and they fall down. This review is subsequent to my prior review in which I was quite satisfied, but it only took about 3 months for them to start coming apart. I am not sure if they have a warranty.

Great
I put these on every time I ride. They give good support and don't leave the legs really sweaty. They are damp when removed but not like the other boots I have tried.

Durable. Fit is mediocre.
The velcro is very strong! The material feels very strong and durable. I have used these almost daily for months now and they are still intact. I will say the fit is a bit weird. The boot doesn't wrap as nice and pretty as it shows in the picture. And they slide down some if it is hot out and they're not on tight.

The run slightly small, but they are very good quality.
These are very high quality sports boots for the price. The problem is that they ran a little small for 16.3 HH Thoroughbred even though I ordered the large size, which should fit fine according to the size chart. My horse is pretty tolerant of snug boots, but he wasn't having anything to do with these. As it turns out, I have to use the hind boots on his front legs and now I need another pair of boots for the hind in an extra large size, which Tough 1 doesn't carry. If your horse is between sizes, I would recommend ordering a size up. If you have a horse over 15 hands, I don't think these boots are a great option.
