Danner Klinger 7 Inch Boot

Just purchased these boots last week....been in em trying to break em in for a few days. They are good solid boots. After reading tons of reviews I found that danner usually fits true to size. I wear a 9.5 and ordered a 9.5. It fits me as perfect as any boot you've bought and never tried on could. I would say it is just a hair bigger than I'd like but when I wear proper boot socks they fit snug. Overall I'm glad I ordered a 9.5 and not smaller or bigger.They say these boots are a bit narrow in the regular width and I can confirm this.....if you got a wide foot order a wide size or you will regret. I have narrow feet so they fit great for me.There is a bit of rub on the back heal where the leather meets the canvas and this is most noticeable when rolling your foot/ankle. After a few days now of breaking in it seems to be softening up.They look like they scuff and scrape easy but that's just the top color wear. I can take my finger nail and scratch into the boot and leave marks when I first got em but now that top coat is almost got and they're starting to take their natural color. I hope that makes sense but those who have these boots know what I'm talking about.These boots look better and better every day. The more I break em in, the more I like em. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a good light work boot, light hiking or just for somthing that looks good loose with a pair of jeans tuck inDefinitely can't beat the price for a pair of danners.Danner is know as a quality boot company and for this price you cant pass it up. If you like em I can confirm they are worth the buy

Danner means quality. They are a Portland based American boot maker, whose standards are excellent, and whose products are comfortable, and durable. But there is more to Danner than just making the best boots available. They manufacture both in the US and abroad, and more importantly sell to North America.... and Japan. In Japan they are a unique fashion icon, and they are commensurately daring with their color combinations and fabrics. This pair almost seems like one that snuck back in. Aside from the black boot being essentially a "jungle combat boot" (Manufactured in Viet Nam for irony;s sake) These boots have a camouflage lining and can be worn rolled down. Not a regular look for the EMT, duck hunter, or patrol officer. And the two tone brown and canvas is downright jammy. So, this is much more like the type of boots available for the Japanese market, but for the price? This is a ridiculous steal on a pair of Danner boots!

You know, I read a review that said they were not as good as the original Vietnam era jungle boot and should not be considered as such. Well I think perhaps Danner has made a boot on the same lasts, that have a better feel than the boots I remember. I have not worn them at this point in time in the same climate or terrain, but I like them for the short hikes and off road, and they are really comfortable and so far the Vibram lugs seem to release mud without much of a build up. All in all, for the price, I like em!

These are basically a copy of the old Vietnam era "Jungle Boot" they are pretty much true to size and fit well and I have a wide foot so they run a little wide but are basically comfortable but I have not broken them in yet. I would recommend these as a light work boot or kick around boot.

these are like all danner boots fit well straight out of the box was a bit concerned as I normaly take ee width but had read other reviews of the Klingers and people had said they fitted ok in a smaller width and as they are the widest you can get now, as danner have stopped making them I thought I would give them a go. May be ordering a black pair as well now

I was looking for the very stiff sole that my other Danners have. These are very flexible. I ended up giving them to my buddy and he loved them.

look great.. .very light weight.. solid vibram outsole, more of a fashion boot with good stability, (i wear mine loosely tied) not sure how they would hold up on a vigorous all day hike. good style. i get complements and looks when i wear them. I swapped the laces out for yellow leather which makes them really stand out.

Was looking for genuine american made boots with a clean, rugged look. I looked at several and finally saw these full grain leather and canvas boots. I got them a 1/2 size bigger and fit great, no complaints exept not getting two pairs. Highly recommend buying these boots if you like great quality combat style boots.

Nice boots, pity that they decided to reduce costs by using a cheaper vibram sole
