Nice as a Dry Shadow
Are you old enough to remember the mod swinging sixties ala Austin Powers? I was a child but remember being mesmerized watching my big sister artfully apply her Yardley of London Glimmerick Paintbox eyeshadow. "More Luvly looks than he can wink at" according to the metal paintbox filled with watercolor paints.I snuck in her room and tried it, to this day I remember how the color painted on just like my school water color paint on paper. As soon as I became old enough, I searched for something similar to the defunct Glimmerick tin.I must have tried every shadow made that touts it can be used with water. ALL, including this one, have the same issue. The water soaks into a chalky cake, instead of mixing like a watercolor paint, and it doesn't compare.I tried using lots of water in hopes of getting enough on the brush to blend, but when it dried it made the eye tissue look old and crumpled. I'm old an crumpled enough in other areas, thank you very much. The Raffaele Blossom color is a lovely peachy pink that looks great paired with the iconic Nars blush in Orgasm. As a dry shadow it's quite nice. As a watercolor eyeshadow it wasn't too impressive.
