Micro Kickboard - Maxi Deluxe 3-Wheeled, Lean-to-Steer, Swiss-Designed Micro Scooter for Kids, Ages 5-12

This was the SECOND time we purchased this scooter. My 5 year old LOVES it so much, we purchased a second to send to grandma's house to keep there too! This scooter would be better if it folded for travel, but it doesn't. We had a 3 wheel toddler scooter and my son was getting too big for it, but he was not ready for a two wheel scooter requiring balancing skills. So this was the next step. The handles extend so this should take him through as many years as he continues to want to ride it. The scooter is very sturdy. Made of plastic, but hard and good quality. We keep it in the garage, but it has been accidentally left out in the elements (overnight and in rain), and if done a few times, no damage. The brake is slightly larger than a toddler scooter so it works well when he is going down hills. The foot board area is also slightly longer than a toddler scooter, so his feet can both fit on it (which no longer could on the toddler scooter). The wheels are a smooth plastic and work quite well on blacktops, sidewalks and in the street. The scooter can slip and slide a little on sand and mud, but that's to be expected and has not been an issue. My son is just starting to learn how to ride a bike. He has had zero interest in a bicycle because he can go so fast on the scooter and keep up with the other kids on bicycles.My son has had one incident going too fast down a hill where he had a difficult time coming to a full stop. However, the scooter never gave out. He kept trying and so did the scooter! Eventually right at the bottom of the hill, he got the scooter to stop at the last inch before the street, however he did go flying off it into the street (of course had his helmet on! Recommended at ALL TIMES)! Luckily other than a scraped knee and a bit scared, he and his scooter continued on...

We had the smaller version for our daughter, and when she outgrew it we bought this one. This product is still very sturdy and easy to use. I love that to turn left and right, you just lean the handle bar in that direction. It's so easy for our daughter that everyone says she looks like such a pro when she rides it. It's a bit pricey, but for us it's worth the money. Very durable and kid friendly!

The media could not be loaded. I’m not sure if this product needs more positive reviews but here I am giving five stars to an amazing scooter. I bought a cheap one here a few months ago and it broke and my son was so sad since he loved it. I got him a two wheel scooter but he didn’t like it he can’t ride it. He is four almost five so after searching for a new scooter and reading the reviews we decided that this one was going to be the one for Christmas. He absolutely love it and the ride is so smooth and this thing gets fast too.He loves it and play with it every day! All his friends want a ride on it.This scooter is extremely sturdy and is heavier than the other brands out there. It’s more stable and I think that makes it safer too.I definitely recommend it, the colors are awesome too. I will be getting one for my daughter when she gets to the same age as my son.

The only issue I had with this purchase is that I did not know that this model is not foldable. They should have said that in the title. I will return it so I can get a foldable one.However, my kid had another cheaper scooter for about 2 years, and I can tell you, was not a good design, or product. My kid will be off balance all the time. Previous scooter was also flimsy. We used that one to grow up, but because the handles were over the wheels, my kid would fall all the time at the smallest hole in the pavement.The Micro Maxi is a different game. The handles are behind the wheels, that makes the trip over the handles almost impossible. That means, the kid would go over deeper holes with no issues.The Micro is a solid scooter. Well designed, with solid parts. Is worth the money.

We have had it for more than a year. Not only does it get used heavily by my 3 year old, but I accidentally ran over the scooter with my car and it is still functional (the brake was slightly bent but easy to move back, and small chunk taken out of wheel, but it still rides fine). Clearly very durable and sturdy!

My son is autistic and struggles a bit with balance. He wanted a scooter but didn't enjoy being on two wheels. It's nearly impossible to find a three-wheel scooter for bigger kids. He LOVES this scooter. It's very well-built and has handled a couple of spills without any problems. My son is 7 and about 50lbs and there seems to be a lot of room for him to grow. Highly recommend!

Kids outgrew the smaller ones. These were a cinch to put together and easily their favorite gifts. They wanted to stay with this style the razor-style scooters are all the rage but these are easier to ride and the build quality is outstanding.

Purchased for my grandson at the request of his mom and hoping my to see him more, but that didn't happen : (
