First of all, no it doesn't support sound. Nowhere in the listing does it say it includes a speaker. No idea why people are leaving poor reviews for not having speakers. With that out of the way, the monitor is great. Good image quality, the RPi4 installation is easy, the top cover can be left off for large heatsink assemblies or installed for smaller ones. I also used it as a small screen for my workstation setup. It is useful for a chat window, HW monitoring or something else of the sort. Just large enough for that, but still small enough to not eat up a lot of space. Highly recommend it.

Very nice smaller monitor for Raspberry Pi, etc. Sharp screen, fast shipment, good price! The only issue I have with it, is no brightness control, (the brightness is fine, not too bright, nor too dim), or if there is one, I can't seem to locate it, either on the device, or in the instructions. Instructions are clear, and the item goes together without even looking at the instructions. Raspberry Pi fit well, all parts fit well, all parts locked together as they are intended, and all connector were usable with no issues, connector alignment was great. Even provided a slot for the SD card to be removed, or inserted. I would have given this 5 out of 5, but for the lack of a brightness control. Lots of adaptors to fit everything... This is really a very good kit for the money...

I'm personally using these as a mini emulation/gaming display. The monitor case is really well designed for slapping a Raspberry Pi in the back. The RPi slot lid has a built-in fan with RPi header power pins pre-attached, but it will run just fine with the back not installed if you have a larger heatsync on the RPi). It even has side cutouts in case you're running a power shim off the bottom power jack. The included power supply with splitter powers both (plenty of amperage for both the display and an overclocked RPi 4) This is a fantastic value!!!

I hate to leave a not so good review. But I truly enjoyed everything about this product except that the sound on it did not work. Which is a big deal for me since I use this mainly as a gaming emulator monitor. I tried everything I possibly could and even went into the command prompt to change settings to HDMI audio input and still no sound. I contacted Vilros and they responded quick to try and help but could not get the sound working either. So they said they would send me a new one. This was months ago. I have since sent a new email asking what’s going on and no response. I can sometimes use a work around and plug in PC speakers directly into the RaspberryPi on some OS’s for sound but I should not have to do this and this also hinders the portability of this product greatly. I like Vilros products but their customer service on this matter has left a bad taste in my mouth for them. I waited as long as I could before writing this review in hopes they would reach out to me again... but no such luck. Also makes me wonder how many other ones of these monitors are faulty. (I also noticed there is no external volume control on the monitor which is strange). Overall I wish I didn’t have to leave a bad review but spending $70-80 on something it should work or at least I should be sent a new one or offered a refund. Buyer beware. Edit: I see they added that the screen has no external sound. This was NOT on the description when I bought it. Vilros even tried to help me get the sound to work so they thought it should have worked at the time too. I’m glad they added the warning about no speaker but I still never got a new one or a refund.

I liked the fact that it is compact all-in-one when assembled together and Pi 4 can be detached without much trouble, and the Pi and the screen can be used separately. However, the LCD screen has no control whatsoever and it's way too bright in any dimmer enviroment other than retail countertop. Also the included DC adapter (with 2 connectors that powers Pi and LCD together @ 5v) has no separate ON/OFF for the LCD and the Pi. Either all are ON or OFF if you decide to use this adapter. The feet of LCD, part of circuitry of LCD, is bit flimsy and probably would break if care is not practiced.
