Worked great for the entire project
I redid my deck rails in 1/8 ss cable and this crimper managed to get the whole thing done without any issues. It was approximately 170 crimps and the 1/8 die looks a little worn out, but still seems to make a decent connection. I ordered a replacement die from Muzata, but unfortunately it is a little too wide to make a good crimp for the force this thing produces. I will caution anyone doing stainless cable rails to do your research on the cable you're buying. I originally went with one of the cheapest suppliers on amazon and got burned. They sent me a poor quality galvanized cable and it ended up rusting in a few months. I probably wasted $200 in fittings on it

Perfect
Worked great with my Haas stainless cable railing system to swag the 3/16” cable fittings together.

Great buy!!!!!
So, I waited until I was done with my project so I could write an honest review.I searched Amazon forever looking for the right swager for my deck railing project and it seemed I would always find reviews with people saying the one they had gotten was a piece of junk and not to waste your money.Well I can tell you this with 100% certainty, either I got really lucky but if you’re in the market for a swager….look no further.I easily did over 250 crimps with this device & never had a single issue. I was using this device on swage lag bolts designed for 1/8 stainless steel cable. I personally chose to use the #4 dye as opposed to the #6 as some will recommend. I just felt the #6 was not a decent enough crimp & the #4 made the cable more secure.Bottom line, don’t hesitate to buy this product. I think I have realized that a lot of people that complain about this type of device are also the ones using it improperly or haven’t the strength needed to make a swage (you will burn your forearms out if you are doing as many as I had.) Also, this device is under pressure when using it and you CAN put to much pressure on it which will result in you blowing the o-ring. I never had it happen & you can tell when the unit is getting maxed out…..just stop there and you’ll have zero issues.Like I said, if you e been looking for a swager for your deck railing project just quit looking & get this one. You won’t regret it.

Failed at 45 Studs
Product completely failed at stud #45 (90 crimps total). A normal railing with 4" spacing will require about 9 wires, so 36 crimps per "panel".You won't get far with this tool. I prefer to generally talk to support before a review but their support sends you to a phone tree death loop.

Great tool, could be more durable
This tool did the job for 96 crimps on my deck railing. After about the 36th one I noticed the dies starting to mushroom a little bit. The tool still worked, but I think the dies could be a bit harder and make this tool perfect.

I hear these don’t last very long this one lasted through my project
Very easy to use and didn’t fail me on the project.

Works great!
This is probably my favorite toy. I have a 17 inch set of pliers for crimping. They are faster, but this you can use all day without hand and arm fatigue.

Good for the job
It did the job, but the handle little to short, still happy with it.

Does what it's suppose to.
The press presses and the cutters cut as advertised. Enough said.

It is complete junk!!!
I will give a zero stars if I could!!!I didn’t use it until today (couple of months after I bought it)!I went to install some cable railing to one of my customers and I tried to crimper the cable, this piece of junk didn’t work. Straight from the box. It lifts the die just enough to touch the cable and stops there. No pressure no nothing. Pumping million times and nothing.I looked so bad in front of the customerI am so disappointed!

Defective unit
The product was broken out of the box. It didn’t hold it’s pressure to crimp. I have seem many videos showing how to use it and not pump too much or you might break the hydraulic seal... It seems I was sent an already used/defective unit!?
