This mic is phenomenal however my mic stopped working with my Iphone, I checked my adapter I checked my extension cable then I realized hey the stupid battery went out after one short use... I would advise just to buy brand new QUALITY batteries.. I only had my mic for a few weeks and my battery already went out. Besides that this mic is incredible, I use the mic for videos and short films and even the raw audio is impressive, not sure why there are some people saying they wish to make a better quality... It's a 30$ mic that sounds great... If you want professional grade PAY professional prices... UPDATE: So my mic stopped working again, I realized that the wire that comes out of the mic before you get to the coil will sometimes be kinda pulled out when twisting on mount, which stops the mic from working, make sure to always give that wire a little push ensuring it's making the proper connection. So issue wasn't the battery and the thing with the wire shouldn't happen hey its a 30$ mic not 300$ Another UPDATE: First Mic is still working great, I ended buying another one; they both work great!

Good clear sound, picks up great even from far distance.

I'd give it a five but I never do that. If you have a Canon camera and you're having trouble finding an inexpensive mic you will not find a better mic than this one for a Canon I have an R50 and it has quirky Little Things about it this guy here by no means breaks the bank and sounds just as good as the Shure. The big deal is it's battery powered and don't worry about it not being rechargeable I've been using one for a year still haven't replaced the battery.

So like ive said i use this on my camcorder and it works great love how it has different settings for noise reduction lookinh for a mic thats a mini boom for your camecorder this is the one for ya great price and looks and works professionally

It's got great sound quality, very effective. I'd have to spend a LOT more to get as good quality otherwise.

I have been taught a valuable lesson about trying to cheap out on recording equipment. I recorded one video with this microphone, and it worked fine, the audio was better than I expected for only paying $30. However, a few weeks later, I tried to record another video; this time, nothing. I even made sure that I had put new batteries in it and made sure it was turned on. I didn't change anything between the first and second recordings. I've tried everything I can think of, but nothing works. Do not buy this product

The microphone works good, the down side is if you forget to turn it on you will loose sound, it happen to me these past weekend that I turn it off then I start recording and forgot to turn the mic on and lost sound , I guess you can leve it on all time but then you worry about battery, I can’t return it since the box is already in the trash

Great budget mic. Good upgrade from Takstar SGC-598. In the picture, the foam is squished because of my windscreen haha
