This is the type of pH test kit that I used many, many years ago for aquariums. I have found the newer test strips make it harder to get an accurate reading. I was happy to find this. It arrived when promised.

We only needed the pH indicator solution for a science fair project but the full kit was cheaper than other individual bottles. It worked well. We did 3 trials of 10 samples of 50 ml seltzer waters. We put 12 drops in each sample each time and we still have over half the bottle left. We could have used less indicator but we were not sure.

The indicator dye is pretty diluted, so it requires a large amount of drops to see the color change. Keep that in mind for classroom work, as you may need several bottles for an experiment.

I ordered this product for the BTB. When I went to use the BTB, the solution was already in an acidic condition and not the proper pH/color. Very disappointed.

Love it when i put this product on my soap and nothing happens - means its safe! If it turns purple then i messed something up. Good to know but terrible news when the product actually does something

I am a retired chemistry professor. I bought these to do experiments with kids. They are what they say they are, but they are too dilute. One should be able to see a noticeable color change with a few drops. Instead, I saw only faint colors with a few squirts. These pH indicators are not that expensive, so the manufacturer should be able to increase the concentrations ten-fold without much change in price.

Great kit for dazzling kids. I used them to demonstrate color changing reactions using dry ice! Kids love it. I recommend the product for k-12 students
