For the average person I might give one star for "easy to read" because you have to do the formulas to figure out what the number actually is. But, you know by the position on the dial what time it really is. I purchased it for my sister-in-law who is a math professor at the local university and she just about fell out of her chair laughing. It's mounted on the wall in her office and keeps perfect time in spite of being in a concrete building. The sensitivity of the receiver is excellent.

Cute gift for math lovers but it’s finicky because it stops working all the time and I have to readjust the battery to get it to work every 12hrs or so

Don’t waste your time with this cheaply made item. The hands get in each others way, the minute hand just drops at times. Worst item ever.
