The Wright Stuff Wheelchair Weather Chaps (Pediatric)

I was pretty excited about this item but found it less than satisfactory for my sating needs. It is difficult to get your feet into and forces you to sit with angled in hips. The velcro strap in back stcks to and can damage fabrics and that pocket should have come up or at least had a flap to keep back of legs warm. You cant find tge extra wide masurements anywhere If purchased by The Wright Stuff be sure it is right because they keep 20% of your money if you are not exchanging it for another item. Since they never responded to my email requesting dimensions on the extra wide size, I find that to be poor business behavior.

Just what I was looking for and needed!! My legs have not been cold or wet all winter!!!! Only thing that could be better is more closure in the back to totally enclose legs.

For a slightly larger person, you should get the extra large (it's still skinny-ish). Covers nicer than one I tried before for scooters.

Probaby the best purchase I've made - ever. I've had my Diestco weather chaps for 15+ years and they are still in great shape. They keep my legs warm and dry no matter the weather.I stay dry, even in Seattle''s wet weather. If I'm somewhere which is really cold (F° teens or lower) I will add an additional blanket inside the foot pouch, too.The liner comes out for washing or summer. The outer bag rinses clean (though I have put in the washing machine a time or two).The only downside issue is that you have to take your feet out of the small pocket if you need to stand up or pivot, by very nature of the product. I also wish that the sides were a bit more generous as the cold gets in when it is bitter out. Still, it is far, far better than any lap blanket alone!A fanastic product.

I got tired of my legs freezing when I tried to go out in this cold weather and did a lot of searching for a solution. Problem with blankets is they don't block the wind. And even worse you have to figure out a way to tie them down so that they don't blow around in any wind you might encounter and get tangled up in your chair. The pocket your feet go into at the bottom works well at keeping your feet warm and helping to anchor the cover in place. The strap attached to the top of the cover is sufficiently long enough to go around your waist in a power chair or around the entire back of the chair in a chair with a back low enough to reach behind.The outer shell cuts the wind, and is waterproof! No more poncho flapping in the wind, catching in your chair and leaving your feet to get wet. The lining velcros in and out for the temperature. It is easy to put on while sitting in the chair.I was able to put it on quickly even the first try.I am really glad I got this lap cover and look forward to a long service life from a well made product. I mean it is even made in the US! And comes in 3 sizes. And lets not forget the reflectorized strip across the front that his me right around knee level. This is a great product!

The adult size fit me well, my feet fit in the pocket and it reaches my waist. I am 6'2" with a 34" inseam and size 13 shoes. My legs are protected and there is no material interfering with my wheels. It was 20°F this morning and I spent about 30 minutes outside with no issues.
