Product Realization: Going from One to a Million

Every step and tool of the New Product Development process is covered - for well-funded projects
I am enjoying this book, as it covers what we work on in China with our clients. It is very good explanation of the processes to reduce the risks inherent to bringing a new electro-mechanical product to market. I came across nothing of the sort in the past, on that topic. An important note: it is written for a well-funded hardware startup or an established company with relatively deep pockets. Companies that are trying to launch a new product with a budget under 100,000 USD can only follow a fraction of the advice given. However, it is always good to get an idea about what has worked well in the past for other, larger, companies. A good project manager working on a smallish budget will be able to make up his mind as to what to take and what to leave.

Great guide to. make and sell a product
If you have a product that you are thinking of manufacturing and bringing to market, this is your ultimate guide. The author spares no details but all details are necessary. With this book you will be confident that your idea can become real and make you some money.

Not for Those On A Shoestring Budget
This book provides a detailed look at all the factors involved in bringing a product to market. There are plenty of charts and tables that are quite helpful. It includes real life examples. That being said I was disappointed both by the dry writing and the fact that it is in no way designed for novices or those on a shoestring budget. Great for the experienced and the well financed.
