I'm revising my previous review. After giving it some time and playing with it, I've figured out how to use it on my hair type (fine, wiry, wavy). I towel dry my hair so there's almost no moisture left, but not bone dry, then I emulsify this product by rubbing a fingernail size amount between my palms and fingers quickly until it becomes very warm and tacky. I work it through my hair ONCE, since overworking it makes my hair greasy, but doing it once makes it perfectly matte and held in place. I LOVE the mostly natural ingredients and how they don't leave my hair dry or sticky. I've also occasionally woken up and not had to restyle my hair that day. The scent has also really grown on me--it's kind of a subtle, natural barbershop smell that doesn't try to be your cologne.

I love using this Texture Paste. It Keeps my hair soft, healthy and easy to style, and just as easy to wash off. - This is a good choice for a textured paste, it smells good and it works well for getting that wet - wild hair effect. - I use this often, switching between a wax and this paste. It gives a nice healthy shine and I know based on the ingredients I'm using a clean and safe product on my head. - The paste comes in a nifty little 2 oz round tin. It seems small but trust me this thing will last you a good couple of months even with daily use. - A single thumb size is all that's needed, rub in with the fingers and then massage onto hair. Style and done. Simple! I recommend this textured paste for strong, shiny (wet look), soft and healthy hairy that's easy to style. Great quality product and value for money. It’s a great product! I used to jump between different brands of pomades and pastes but now I only use this product. I made the mistake of trying something new about a month ago and it couldn’t hold a candle to Rocky Mountains texture paste. Don’t make my mistake! The hold is solid and doesn’t create any stiffness in your hair. You can run your hands through your hair and still keep the shape you styled! You can easily use it for messier looks or combed hair styles. It washes out easily too! You need to use this product!

smells nice A little hard to distribute as it's very thick and sticky. Can get clumped in the hair.
