I tried a random mat for my baby in the tub that had over 100 suction cups, useless. Then I tried the cute whale one and it left marks on him. So, that led me to this. Although it doesn't stick in the very bottom of my ever so slightly, slightly texturized tub, it is long enough that I can stick it to the smooth sides/back and it works. It doesn't float anymore when he sits on it. Cleans up easily. Really cushiony. After 2 other returns, this one is a winner.

First, two clarifications: 1.) All mats eventually mold; no exceptions, and this one doesn't promote that growth more than any other I've had, and 2.) I have a smooth-bottom tub and wouldn't expect any mat to adhere to a textured one.Most mats are thin and have many big suction cups that all but tower above the mat and are uncomfortable to stand on with sensitive feet. This one, thank goodness, is a bit thicker and has smaller suction cups with a lower profile. It's THE best mat I've had in years and will buy more as soon as finished typing this review.

We are pretty happy with our bath mat for our 11 month old. He likes to stand up in the tub and this mat keeps him from slipping and sliding around. It’s not bulky, it dries quickly, and doesn’t absorb any water that can create mold or mildew. It’s also pretty easy to clean. If placed in the tub before the tub gets wet, the suction stays fairly well. Once it’s suctioned in well, it doesn’t move or slides only a tiny bit. It’s very easy to put down and take up, but it doesn’t have any kind of loop to hang it to dry so we end up draping it over the curtain rod. We have a standard sized bath tub and it fits perfectly width wise, but it’s about 4 inches too short from end to end. And even if we don’t get it suctioned all the way to start with, when little man pulls on the corners that float up, the reset of the mat stays in place.

I’m honestly not even sure how to contact the seller/manufacturer to see what our options are but I’m quite irritated that our mat is in this condition now. We’ve had it for about 3 months (since January 2022) and painfully remove it and hang it up to dry 90% of the time. I never bother to look at it, I’m usually in a daze with 2 under 2 by bedtime. But apparently if you don’t fully dry it after every single use this is what happens… and it will not come off. I tried Tilex, I tried bleach, I tried CLR, I tried magic eraser… it’s a pain to clean. And the mold/mildew will not come off. It’s a shame because this mat is PERFECT otherwise. Maybe the seller can help me out here.

I have only used these a handful of times. So far so good. I feel comfortable letting my baby splash around while chasing her bath toys having the nonslip mat and the protective cover for the drain and the faucet. The material feels high quality and I have not had any problems with staining. As long as I take the bathmat off of the tub floor after use, I have no problems with mold or dirt building up on the mat. Would purchase again in the future.

I've only been using for 2 weeks but so far it works so well! Suctions great to the tub and it's not slippery at all. I feel much better about my 1 year old playing in the bath. After his bath I immediately rinse it and hang it to dry so it doesn't mold. We only use it for his baths.

I took it out to clean after a month or so and was surprised to see this black mold hiding underneath…Also does not suction well to the tub.

Makes bath time so much easier! High quality!! Very comfortable and convenient. Not too big and I like the material dries quick and has the hook to hang. I’ll be purchasing the elbow rest next. Add to gift registry great gift for moms and dads!

I had the Skip Hop one previously but it got wrecked due to not hanging it up so I decided to purchase this one because it was cheaper. That was a horrible decision as the suction cups are useless on this one and does not stay in place. I wouldn’t recommend this one.
