I bought this to thump my kids in their heads when they were being uncooperative during online school sessions. Works great....just don't forget to leave the protective rubber shell over the spike tip. You just want to get their attention....not give them a crude, botched lobotomy.Lol, totally kidding. I haven't got to break anything with it yet but have no doubts it wouldn't leave me hanging. The seat belt cutter is effective and comforting as well.The handle fits perfectly and comfortable in your hand and it is surprisingly lightweight. Great price for piece of mind.

Useless and quite possibly dangerous! Apparently this thing had a very poorly cast thin tank that runs through the handle. My 102lb grandmother was using this device for the first time today. Thankfully she didn’t fully trust it and did not apply her full weight to it when it completely snapped in half and sent her crumbling to the ground! She is alright but others may not be so lucky!

Received my order of two of these. Was surprised to see that the metal portion appears to be something other than steel. The listing says "forged steel" but the actual item is way too light to be steel. It looks like a plated non-ferrous metal. I'm hoping it's not pot metal. We tested both of the items and they supported my full weight (220 lbs) without a problem so far. The issue is that pot metal fails catastrophically which would be very bad in my case. The handle is very functional and comfortable.

I saw this type of product advertised elsewhere, but looked to Amazon instead. Faster shipment and better price.I order this just before I was going to have major surgery because I knew it’d be helpful with getting in and out of the car, and also thought it be helpful for other elderly people I transport in and out of the car.This is a light weigh but extremely sturdy product. Easy to store in the glove box or carry with you if you go from car to car. The added features for use in an emergency ( seat belt cutter and glass breaker) are added bonus if you ever need them. Why didn’t I know about this before? Everyone should have one of these!!

This is such a help for us Seniors to get in and out of the car. We have one on each side of the front seats. Very easy to use. Don't know how we got in and out of the car before we had this product.

I bought this to help myself in getting out of the car. Ihave fibromyalgia which means I'm in pain 24/7, arthritis and thanks to covid, jelly legs. This works fantastic and I'm no longer grabbing on to the car door to get out.

This gizmo is an excellent help for people who are recovering from an injury or otherwise disabled, when they are getting in and out of a vehicle.My only complaint is that this particular model has to be used parallel to the car, instead of perpendicular to it. I have seen others whose smaller spike lets them be used either way.

Helps my elderly mother getting in and out of my vehicle without leaning on the window glass or door jams. I didn't know it came with a belt splitter / knife until I opened the package, that was a nice surprise because I hadn't read the description fully. I can't tell how sturdy it will be because the "hammer end" has a little plastic covering and for something you put in and out of the door jam repeatedly, I can see that little cap getting lost very quickly. Doesn't stay on well. But for now, it's working as expected.
