Use this to regenerate my portable water softener. Works perfectly.

These are nice to have and save some money buying bulk activated carbon and sediment filtration.

I needed a new/replacement cartridge for a new canister, I had added another stage to my aquarium RODI. I tried this one, and like it. It has only been in service a few days, so I can't say it's perfect (5 stars), but I have high hopes it is. When empty I blew through it and the air had surprising low resistance, a good sing water will pass easily too. Filling with DI beads, it seemed to hold as much or more than my other bottom opening cartridges, this is top open. I was concerned it had just one foam filter, as my others had two. the design is different on my old one it need two because the bottom (intake) is indented. On this unit the bottom intake is flatter and more spread out, it still has an architecture that allows proper flow in the cartridge. when opening the valves to put the new canister inline and functional it filled like the old ones too, which was reassuring. Second note for folks who haven't loaded DI beads before, gently shake or bounce the cartridge on your knee, as you fill it so the beads settle and you can get more inside. it is more economical and allows wider choice of media than buying prefilled. The only draw back was that is is a new design (for me) being top open. I didn't see any notes on where to position the foam filter disk. Logic said it must be on top as that area would have a void after the DI beads were in the cartridge. Being in the final stages of my project, I didn't go upstairs to check the Amazon product page. It worked as I expected and a later check of the Q&A showed my intuition was correct. A little note or diagram may be helpful to future first time users. Given the short time I have had it, it performs well, I can see myself buying more as my other DI cartridge wears out.

works good for replaceable filter using charcoal and kdf55 and 85 helps with the hydrogen sulfate that people mistake as iron just wish I could find replaceable round filters for unit but caveat you cannot find internal replacement filters so after they are bad you cant use anymore

I have a brs rodi. Brs cartridges SUCK compared to these!!!! They fit perfectly in my system!!! Great item for the price and fast shipping too!!!

Got this as a replacement for a BRS cartridge I dropped and broke the lid on. It is superior in every way to the BRS cartridges. Dropped right in and I think even fits better with less dead volume left in the canister. 10/10

Amazon put paper stickers on a cartridge that goes inside a water filter that can sit for months. NOT OK.
