Manic Panic Semi Permanent Pastel Purple Hair Dye, Velvet Violet, 4 oz

Hair has to be white and bone dry to take this color. Seems like a weird thing to say but if you put this on slightly damp hair or level 9 or below it won’t grab or show up. Could end up with a weird blurple color.

Works great, lasts long even on processed hair. Already bought a second jar.

Wish it lasted longer than five days. It’s too sunny in Texas and fades it out real bad. Ah well. It’s cute while it lasts and lots of ppl compliment my hair.

not only did it not take and turn grey, a lighter shade than this took right next to it on the same value of hair, but it has made a PERMANENT grey patch on my hair no amount of bleach or color remover has been able to put a dent in :( nothing will stick well over it. I've had my hair processed like 5 times since getting this and dyed 3 different colors over this, the grey remains. I assume it has to be the formula. avoid at all costs.

You need to sleep in a shower cap to let it sit. Creamer of manic panic washes out after three days with only one shower. I have to leave this stuff in for a long 12 hours minimum to get it to stay. Yes, I fallowed the directions. To make it work you not only need your hair white first but also leave it in for 18 if you have some blonde left. I found that 24 works best, but that's a long time to keep your hair tied up with a shower cap covering. It's really great, just takes a long time to set in before mildly washing hair with just cold water and no soap. The pastels / creaming of manic panic washes out super easy, about three days to a week max, but the regular Manic panic stays for a week or month depending on what you do. I still have more in the jar, so I can do it again, but every three days it a bit annoying to keep up. If you let it sit for 24 hours, it can easily last / stay in for a good week, just sleep in a shower cap. Don't get me wrong, I really do like this.

I actually use this as a toner for my at-home bleached blonde hair. If I use it full strength my hair is kind of a bright lilac color where the bleach is strongest. Stays purple for a good week or so. If I dilute with conditioner, I can get it to act just as a brightener to take the brassy color out. When I use it this way, I generally need to re-apply every couple of weeks. I have thin hair but I can get 3-4 applications out if a jar when it is cut with conditioner. 2 when I use full-strength.

I dye my hair dark not light so I can't comment if some one is going for pastel, but I use this, blue steal, midnight, and several other colors to create different effects. I love this as a toner for the purple parts of my hair, or purple toned. I layer it underneath. I like coloring my hair but honestly even if you just wanted a more noticeable purple cast than virgin snow this would also be great. Of course being amethyst it has pink/red tones which last longer in hair so if you don't want that look for a blue color. However, I'm sooo happy with this and how much nicer it looks than using pastel mixed with reds or pinks.

We bought the Shock bleach kit, followed the instructions, and got my daughter's hair down to a Level 8 blonde. Then we applied this color. Nothing. We applied *again*, and left it on for more than an hour. All it did was make my daughter's hair look brown-ish again. Not sure if there was any actual dye in the product -- it didn't stain our fingers after we gave up on gloves.

Ho applicato la tinta su dei capelli biondo chiarissimo/grigi decolorati. Ho ottenuto un lilla carinissimo, un po’ scarico e che è durato si e no due lavaggi. Peccato 😔

Good use and good delivery

Me encantó el productos, por ser vegano y sin amoniaco, no pica el cuero cabelludo, sin olor, buena consistencia, cremoso, y bonito color violeta un poco tirando rosado, lo único que el envase es muy pequeño, si tienes mucho cabello mejor comprar dos, si quieres que te cubra todo el cabello. OJO ya llegar al color tenía el cabello decolorado casi blanco.

Color was nice, but started to fade after the first wash. Did not last long, even on blonde hair. After one week it is almost out completely.

Peu efficace....cher en plus pour un micro flacon.... Déçue !
