I have really dry mouth due to medications I take. I actually had a bottle of this for quite a while, but didn't start using it regularly until I got a CPAP machine. My mouth got so dry it was painful. So I located the bottle of this stuff and a few sprays before bed takes care of the problem. I ordered a 3-pack this time around, still just planning on using it before bed. I had these dry mouth lozenges at work (different brand) that I sometimes used, but they changed the shape and I found they cut up the inside of my mouth. I realized I could bring a bottle of spray to work too. Then one day I was out of water in my car and stuck in traffic when I realized I should put one in my purse too. Now that I'm using it more often, it really does make a big difference. I have far fewer episodes of my mouth being so dry that getting something to drink is my only priority. The main reason I had the first bottle so long and didn't really use it is that I'm really sensitive to the taste of things like this. If something tastes disgusting, I'm not going to use it no matter how well it works. I wish I would have given this a chance sooner because it works and it doesn't taste bad at all. "Gentle Mint" is a good description...it's minty without being spicy and the mint is not trying to conceal the background taste of whatever is in it. The lozenges I mentioned come from MedActive, so I decided to try their spray as well. I sprayed it once and threw it in the trash. It was horrible. I will stick with the Biotene brand from here one out.

I have extreme dry mouth at night due to some of the medication I take. It gets so bad that I have no saliva at all and it is very difficult to even swallow. This Biotene mouth spray was recommended to me by my doctor and it is a godsend! Just before going to sleep, I spray 6 to 8 times into various sections of my mouth and I immediately feel the minty freshness and my mouth is no longer dry. That generally is all I need for the entire night. (1 or 2 squirts will not be enough). My only complaint is that the outside of the bottle gets slippery after a short while because some of the mist from the spray must land on the bottle. I simply use a Lysol wipe to clean the bottle off. Also, this spray is not cheap, but it does work. I recommend it.
