Great for cast iron skillet
I've had mine for a while and it works great. I use it for my cast iron skillet and it is perfect. The numbering on the knob did wear off over time because of heat and grease, but it still works just fine.

This is the one!
After buying a few others that either didn't stand up over time or didn't work from the get go, THIS IS THE ONE! Sturdy construction and stable. Heats up almost instantly and stays on! No waiting an hour to boil water and no worries about it cycling off every few seconds. Boiled a pot of water in a few minutes and stayed going until I turned it off. This is the one you want if you are looking for a good fifth wheel or your only cooking surface!

It boils water!
Ok. I have no stove in my basement apartment. I was using 1 of those cheap electric burners from the big blue box store (you know the one) and it could barely boil 3 cups of water. Not only that but it was impossible to clean. This 1 is soooo much better I can't beloeve it. When I boil my 3 cups of water I have to turn it _down_ because it boils so hard it splashes everywhere. I have boiled 3 quarts of water with no problem. I have not tried more than that. The knobs do get hot, but not so much that its usually a problem for me. I also set it on a cooling rack inside a cookie sheet so the fact that the whole thing is hot is a non issue for me.The user manual warns about the device smoking the 1st time you use it. IT DOES!!! It set off the smoke detector, and my upstairs roomate came downstairs to find out what the smoke smell was. There was smoke coming out of every single opening, even from behind the knobs. It did not all burn off with the 1st use either. It took several uses before I no longer noticed the smell. My advice, take it outside, plug it in, and let it go until the smoke is all gone before you use it inside. Now it's something I use daily and am so pleased with that it makes me smile every time I use it.Im thinking about buying another...Highly recomend!!!

Boils my water but outer metal is screaming hot
The media could not be loaded. They just is out as yet. 3 stars due to concerns. I need it temporarily to use as my daughter's stove is broken. Most every item the gets really hot always burns off something. I was surprised to see smoke coming from the knobs. The hot plate can not be anywhere a child can touch it. The metal all around get seriously hot. The knows are hot but you won't get a burn from it.It took 14 and a half minutes to boil a pan of water. Kinda long but a watched pot situation here.I may bump my review up once I am truly using it to cook.I am just concerned how hot the outer metal around the burner is. The counter underneath was just under 110 degrees. Not horrible. I do plan to cook on the broken stove that has a glass top.I wish the cord was not so stiff. If it kinks back up and touches the metal it will probably melt.My experience with hot plates is limited to this. If I did a better search I would look for one the metal doesn't get so drastically hot.

A Reliable and Efficient Cooking Companion: CUSIMAX Double Burner Review
I've been using the CUSIMAX Double Burner for a few weeks now, and I'm thoroughly impressed. It's been helpful for my kitchen, allowing me to cook multiple dishes simultaneously with ease. The ceramic infrared cooktop is surprisingly durable and easy to clean, and the dual control feature makes it a breeze to adjust the heat on each burner independently. In my experience, the 1800W power is more than enough for most of my cooking needs, and the stainless steel base provides a sturdy foundation. One minor drawback is that the glass plate can get quite hot during extended use, but it's not a major concern. Overall, I'd highly recommend the CUSIMAX Double Burner to anyone looking for a reliable and efficient cooking companion.

KNOBS GET HOT
I noticed the knobs get hot during cooking time. This is an important feature, and the manufacture should improve it. Perhaps they need to cover the knobs with a safe material to prevent the heat and burning. Need to use a kitchen pad to manipulate once it gets hot. I have not use it for too long so will continue monitoring its performance.
