Destination Moon (The Adventures of Tintin) Review: These helped me learn foreign languages - So these books were in my school library for kids that took foreign languages. Making comic books in another language to trick kids into learning French or German. What a clever (and underhanded trick)! Excellent work! Review: Great book - Great searies. Lost my original. I think we wore it out.

A Tintin Adventure With a Long Build-up
This Tintin book is similar to earlier two-part stories in that the first book largely sets up the second book, but this one does not contain much action or plot development. Many pages here are developed to interactions between Captain Haddock and Professor Calculus, and relatively little action takes place to move the plot along. Still, it is a Tintin adventure and one reads these for the artwork almost as much as the story. The book of course sets out several threads that will be tied together in the second installment, Explorers of the Moon.

I love Tintins!!!
When I was a girl, my brother and I would hide under tables and in other secret places reading Tintins. Our parrot even learned to say, "Stop! You're under arrest," from hearing my brother and me read aloud from our Tintins. Tintins are great books to engage kids - boy our girl, doesn't matter. They always offer high adventure, humor, exploration and engaging graphics. Love 'em! I bought this and The Red Sea Sharks for my nephew's seventh birthday. I'm not sure that he's quite ready for Tintins, but he will be eventually and for a kid who is lavished with gifts from a doting grandma (not my mom), this was a good way to offer something special. : )

Great collector item, and actually as a story.
A must have for a Tintin collector. Has a great story. It's the first of a two-parter.

Tin Tin for Reluctant Reader
When my son goes to a birthday party, I add a book to the regular present. Both sons really got into Tin Tin, and this made an exciting side gift to a reluctant reader--different, intriguing, doesn't talk down, but accessible to a non-reader. Quality made.

Amazing but difficult to read
I am so excited that Tintin has been brought to life again. I have very fond memories of reading it as a 10+ yr old. I have brought a few copies to read to my 7yr son, mmm, not as easy as I remember. I think I'll have to read them myself and then wait for him to be old enough to read them to himself! Not a bedtime story book! But none the less I am pleased to have a few copies of this amazing adventure book series.

Great motivator for learning reader
The Tintin series is a big favorite of my son. He started them at 8 and continues to enjoy them. Great storytelling and artwork. Still relevant and interesting tales.
