We purchased and installed this filter about a month ago, and so far there is no issue. It works just fine and no leaks noted. The water seems to taste just a bit better, in fact. It was much less than the Samsung brand, and probably at least as good, from what I can tell. *update-1/18/21 My filter light came on, because it's time to replace, and I'm ordering this again! No leaks and good-tasting water. I just had a repairman out to work on my ice maker, and his concern with not getting Samsung is that many don't have the second 0-ring. This one does. He said to always replace it in the morning on a day you will be home to keep an eye on it for leaks. There were absolutely no leaks ever with this one, and it does have both O-rings.

I wanted to purchase a filter that was equivalent to the OEM, but much cheaper. I was concerned with the NSF ratings, as NSF 42 makes water taste and look better, NSF53 takes out more contaminants. Most of the bargain brands do not come with the higher rating. For this brand I chose the deluxe model for the higher certification. It is still less than half the price of the OEM. From what I can tell, it works just as well. My water is clear, and my cat actually likes the taste of the water out of this filter better, which means she'll hydrate more. I had no trouble with the fit and no leaks. I was really concerned about misfitting & leaks, as I once had a very bad flooding incident upon changing a filter that didn't seat quite right.

This seems like a good quality filter at a good price. It claims to also remove several pesticides and pharmaceuticals if that's important in your location. The only con I can see is it seems to flow slower than my old original filter. Price you pay I guess.

It's definitely a more cost effective replacement for the OEM filter for my Samsung fridge.

I had one of these leak and I couldn't figure out why. I returned it and bought another one and it didn't have any problems. I compared the old one I took out to the first new one and they looked identical. Oh well. New one works well.
