Is this really the medicated gel as opposed to the medicated moisturizer? I recently ordered on Amazon and got the bait and switch.

I really cannot recall as its been quite a while since I tried this. More inclined to think it was a gel. I didn't reorder because it was ineffective for me. I have a lifelong mild but chronic form of psoriasis that affects my scalp. I've tried plenty of products, including OTC topicals as well as prescription foams, but to no avail. Even tried the X-Trac light therapy. Then, I tried TARSUM shampoo/gel in combination with CUTAR Emulsion. I would say I'm cured, but I know that's not true. My scalp is COMPLETELY clear and it's no longer embarrassing to go to the salon anymore. No more itching, scaling. The TARSUM comes with a pin-point applicator so you can apply it--right through the hair and down to the scalp--to targeted areas. You can apply this about 10 minutes before showering and then rinse it out and shampoo as normal. No tar smell and scalp is clean. You'll see a difference after just two uses. I don't use the CUTAR (but you could. I don't find it necessary, though, as the TARSUM on that area is sufficient) on my scalp but rather for affected areas like elbows, knees, ankles, where psoriasis tends to appear. Those areas saw constant flare-ups for me, but with the CUTAR, no more! I can't believe the relief I've found for the first time in my life. I can't do without these products. You can google CUTAR and purchase at the website as you can buy more and it costs less than it does on Amazon. Hope this helps!

Why does this have ammonium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate, they are both extremely skin damaging Ingredients?
