The On/Off switch is so smooth and easy to flick - worth the extra money
I suppose there is little one can comment about an extension lead..: it's as long as it says on the case, it has as many sockets as is advertised, and it doesn't catch fire after 5 minutes of use. So it is perfectly adequate as an extension lead. One might think £11 (at my time of purchase) is quite steep for a 2m extension lead, even considering that it comes in variety of fancy colours. Actually, the real reason for this is in its on/off switch. It' so smooth and easy to flick, that my 4 year-old can turn it on/off at ease (as is necessary for the lamps are plugged into this lead). You know that this switch won't break after 10 flicks, as some cheap ones makes me think they might. Just for that, and for the assurance that it is overall very well made, it is worth the additional few GBP.

I'm a sucker for these!
These really are nicely constructed and well bit plug sockets, they must be because I'm sat here, reviewing a plug block which is the most boring device on the planet. These look great if you happen to have them visible, so that marks them up from your ubiquitous white neon lit plug block. The sockets are nicely spaced and there are plenty to plug all your devices in my the TV, with some to spare.I've since bought a few more of these that are dotted around our house.

Be careful, there are two versions of the Hugo!
There are now two versions of the Hugo!, one with surge protection and one without. This one is the model without surge protection, which I only realised after I purchased and opened it. Given the product price, I feel surge protection should be fitted as standard. The Hugo! is one of only a few 8-way extension leads that are 8x1, most others 4x2, which isn't as good an arrangement as appliances with with wall adapters often end up blocking neighbouring sockets. I chose the Hugo! to avoid that problem and it does so well, not only because the 8x1 arrangement, but also because they've allowed a bit more space between the sockets as well. One thing to be aware of though is that the Hugo! is about twice the height of a regular extension lead, which could cause problems if you are planning to position it under a TV cabinet. The red coloured version I purchased is very much a raspberry red (i.e. pinky). The switch on it is sturdy and gives a satisfying clunk feel when you press it.My purchasing mistake aside, I'm very happy with this product.

You pay for quality.... and its here in spades.
Very well made high quality extension lead. It's more expensive of course than the £5 alternatives.... but this gives lots of sockets, avoids daisy chaining, and the difference in construction is like chalk and cheese. The colourways are fab too. Highly recommend.

Massive, sturdy and Red!
Just what I needed for my studio to plug a bank of hard drives into. If you cannot hide the wires then they need to look good to the eye. This unit looks fabulous! It makes a real statement, it's huge! Very strong and sturdy and well worth the money.
