I always used this type of product when I paint vehicles.

Bought the filter and Regulator and was impressed with the looks and over all function. However before I could start using it I had to get the fittings to hook it up. THEY ARE NOT STANDARD PIPE as pipe has tapered threads they are however O=Ring and once you understand that all the leaks disappear. The regulator is designed to go on the bottom of the filter not the top ,as I seen in many of the pictures folks posted. So I give it 4 stars because all of this should be in the assembly instructions. Most folks have no idea the different types of fittings and conversions. So if you want to stop getting leak reports fix your directions.

Leaks air like crazy from the top threading. Looks like this is where it wants to swivel. Only way to reduce the air leak is to hold the filter tight up against the air gun. I applied Teflon tape to the threads of my air gun and to the connector for the air hose. I will be returning this.

I had an issue when I installed it on my spray gun. The adjustment knob would not stay in one position and leaked air constantly. I pulled the valve stem apart, found that the Oring was too small. Replaced Oring. Works great.

It’s metal and acrylic housing. Strong build. The knob is plastic, yet not too worried about this. Does it’s job and installs easy. Best part is oil and water filter built on. No need to search for easy to lose parts.
