Better than okay, even used off label!
I used it "off-label" as they say in the medical and pharmaceutical arena ("arena" and not "field" was intentional Ü), per Donald R's review: http://smile.amazon.com/review/R1DN4EQ21WPTUX/ref=cm_cr_dp_title?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B01771PXCY&channel=detail-glance&nodeID=1064954&store=office-products, because I used it on an ST2010.Refer to his photos, please, as well as the product photos, since mine is installed and I don't want to take it down. The large actual VESA mount with the eight holes I'm going to call the "paddle", and the smaller part that fits into the slot in the back of the monitor I'm going to call the "tongue".To take the original pedestal off of the ST2010, there are three screws. I tugged on the pedestal for a bit after taking out the two obvious screws. I was working with my back to the light and didn't even see the plastic plug covering access to the third screw. It pops right out using a blade. The VESA adapter has four tabs on the tongue – two on the end and one on either side of the end. The tongue, as Donald said, is too wide to go into the slot in the ST2010 and you have to shorten the tabs on each side. Use the "tongue" of the pedestal to mark the tongue of the adapter to mark where to cut the side tabs. I actually removed the hinged assembly from the Dell pedestal, disassembled it and clamped it tightly to the tongue of the adapter and used it as a guide or jig for the saber saw.I also cut off the tabs at the end of the bracket tongue so that it would seat more fully into the monitor for obstensibly more support. This may be more than you want to do, since there are two plastic posts inside the slot in the monitor for which you will have to relieve the end of the bracket tongue for it to go further in. Once again, though, the Dell hinge gives you a guide, because there are two U-shaped slots at the end of it for just that purpose. That all might be a bit of overkill, but I'm a bit OCD – old, crazy and dangerous. ÜFinally, mark the adapter tongue and drill the holes. Three, if you do it my way – otherwise, just two. Some final notes –First, there are reinforcing triangles (actually trapezoids) on either side between the back (the "paddle") and the bottom on my adapter that are larger than Donald's, shown in his second photo – and apparently also in the bottom photo of the assembled product on Amazon, as well. The top Amazon photo of the unattached adapter is the current version. Of course, now the bottom photo might get changed, not helping this explanation any. ÜSince they are larger than Donald's, the reinforcing trapezoids actually touch and have some slight interference with the plastic edge of the monitor above the nameplate and connectors' recess. Since in the way that I did it, the adapter actually goes into the monitor slightly further and is therefore slightly higher with respect to the monitor than the way Donald did it – if the end tabs are not are not cut off, there may be no interference. I thought the holes I drilled were misaligned and I even enlarged them some, but I was only looking closely at where the tongue attached and did not notice above where there was interference – the interference kept the bracket tongue from fully seating, making the holes look improperly drilled, hence the apparent misalignment. The fix was simple... the interference was so slight that all I had to do was pare a couple of slight notches in square edge of the plastic case above the recess with a box cutter/utility knife, not even going all the way through.Lastly, there is some flex in the bracket between the tongue and the bottom of the adapter bracket, since there is no reinforcement there – so don't pull on it hard horizontally, spreading it, or do chin-ups on the monitor once it is hung. The slight flex was actually helpful, since it was actually touching the plastic where there was interference. Just looking at it now, however, given the slight ability to flex (flexibility Ü) between the front and back of the adapter and the extremely minimal interference, I may not have had to notch the case. Now, after authoring this tome, probably no one will have any occasion to use it. See if I write any more reviews! Ü

Works like a champ!!
I bought this adapter so that I could mount my Dell ST2420L monitor to a dual arm monitor stand. It worked like a champ. Easy to install. Did it in a few minutes. Stable. I was able to now use the mounting hardware for the dual monitor arm and I was up and running in nothing flat. Do pay attention to your monitor model number. These adapters are specific for specific monitor series. I'm very pleased with this.

No machine shop? This'll work.
In terms of price for materials, this product is charging an arm and a leg for what is essentially a piece of lasercut sheet metal. With access to a machine shop, sheet metal, and a bending form, this could be made for maybe $4-5 in materials and total labor cost. But since the average person doesn't have $30,000 in heavy machinery lying around, this is probably the best consumer solution to VESA mounting ST monitors. It locks in place just fine, and holds a 27-inch monitor with only a little flex. After two months of use, I haven't worried about the monitor falling, and can even rotate it without worry. This is a solid product. It's just a shame there's so little competition in this niche area, so the company can get away with overcharging by 200-300%.

Absolutely perfect
This VESA mount adaptor made our ST2220LC monitor fit the mounting arms I got for Christmas. Super easy to just click right into place into the back of the monitor. Will allow me to get several more years out of our older Dell monitor. Would also recommend mounting your monitors to an adjustable arm. Gives you so much more flexibility and it is super cheap to do.

Worked as expected
The product was exactly what I needed to retro fit a pair of old Dell screens for VESA compatible mounting. I was able to quickly remove the old stand, apply the adapter, and connect to a wall mount. The two concerns were the amount of flex when attached and incompatible screws. The product itself is sturdy metal. However, the clip in the monitor that it attaches to has considerable flex. Be aware your monitor might tilt down. You may want to attach to a mount that has tilt to compensate. Also, the screws did not mate up with the VESA mount, but it wasn't an issue because the mount came with it's own screws. Both issues are not really with the product but useful to be aware of depending on your setup. They are a little pricey, but it was cheaper than buying new VESA mountable monitors.

Sags a bit
Works great with Dell ST monitors. It's a bit saggy at the bend.

Simple and Solid Product
I have a pair of the Dell ST2421L monitors, which do not include VESA mounting holes built into the monitors. With this adapter, it was very simply to remove the standard Dell monitor stand, and connect this in its place. The instructions included were really simple to follow.Once I connected these to a set of monitor arms (purchased separately), I noticed they provided really secure support. The monitors don't sway or bounce when working on the desk or when adjusting the monitor arms - I have no worries at all that my monitors would just "fall off". The package does include 4 screws for VESA mounting (if you have an existing set of monitor arms), but I found that the screws that came with my monitor arms worked best.Bottom line.... A very simple and solid product, I would highly recommend.

Does what it says on the tin.
Did exactly what it was supposed to, securely fixed to the monitor and allowed me to connect it to my VESA arm mount. Spot on. Ironically it cost me more than the mount did, but it does the job well and looks solid.
