I needed to get a case to hold my vials of insulin and this was one of the only ones I could find online. This is a well constructed case and looks like it will last for years. The vial holder is the ice pack. It is of a substantial size and will no doubt keep my insulin cool for quite a while. My one complaint is that the slots for the vials are quite a bit larger than the vials that hold my nova rapid insulin (other types of insulin in larger vials may fit well). I will primarily be storing my insulin at home but if I travel, the insulin vials will inevitably rattle around and could risk becoming broken.

Well i ended up returning this item. Three reasons.1. Not really accommodating for insulin pens. Looks like vile insulin is the only thing that will fit in it, and stay cool.2. There's no isolation lining. So the only thing keeping your insulin cold is the plastic ice pack, so it need to be in constant contact with insulin, going back to reason one. They should have lined it with aluminum or other thermal lining.3. Space. I planned on traveling with one insulin pen and one trulicity pen. Going back to reasons 1 and 2, this is not an option.

Our cat was diagnosed with Diabetes and requires twice daily injections. We frequently need to take it to the vet for blood panels and need to bring along the insulin. This case allows the interior container to be frozen and accepts two insulin vials. Some have mentioned that two slots is unnecessary as one vial should be sufficient. However, what if you are at the end of one and want to ensure you have more in case you need it. The case also allows for two to three insulin syringes to be stored in the inside mesh compartment. On our last trip to the vet, the case retained its temp for an entire day (7:00 am to 5:00 pm). Another bonus is the nice small form factor! For one day trips this is a fantastic case and the price is right. A++

Thought I would like this till I tried to pack it. Put the ice pack in as well as the 2 viles of insulin. As the pictures showed I tried to put in the needles but it wouldn’t close with the needles. Even if I took out the insulin viles it still wouldn’t close. Had to have another case for the needles and makes it a little more bulky now. Also only keeps insulin cold for less then 6 hours. Going to be getting something different and only keep this for short trips.After a few more days of disappointment I ended up returning this. For $20 plus the cost of an extra cooler pack there are much better options.
