Sick of washing my ice machine with soap and water and the stale smell returning. This stuff did the job, will definitely buy again to prepare for those gin nights

I only use filtered water, but was seeing what looked to be rust-like film on the inside of my (continuous use) ice maker. The cleaning tablets just weren't getting it so I researched and found this higher strength Citric Acid formula to be safe for those items that CAN come into contact with food or drink (or can come into contact with those items that are added to food or drink-e.g., ice). Just adding 1.5 ounces to a half gallon of water and running it through (I did this twice) then got my long handled dish scrubber to lightly scrub the surfaces and as far back into the machine as I dared, rinsed twice with a half gallon of water and everything now looks perfectly clean. I'll save the tablets for intermittent use, but it is probably important to know that even filtered water can leave a biofilm that is not only unpleasant to see, but can be a contaminant over time to your ice. Not sure why it says only 5 uses in the description- as I only used 1.5 ounces each time in a half gallon of water per the instructions), so I'd say that is good value for the money. This is just a stronger version of citric acid so I felt comfortable with any skin contact and there was no overpowering smell.

"Freez Ice" on a Edgestar IP211SS, "portable ice maker." After 6-months without cleaning "IP211SS," I noticed dirt like particles in the ice chamber. I like that after I used the "Freez-Ice," I noticed less. Then after cleaning the "Edgestar" thoroughly with a cotton swab in out of reach spaces, the ice machine has no or very little particles. What I like and dislike PROS: Cleans and renews device CONS: Needs to be cleaned thoroughly afterwards because the dirt is now lose I do recommend this Freez-Ice. Ice is considered to be a food product. Freez-Ice is made with clean detergents; I feel better using this product then others.

Bought to clean Ninja Coffee maker after reading recommendations to clean Ninja Coffee Makers' annoying "CLEAN" alert button. Worked better than other coffee cleaners with 1 week before alert reappeared, lasting 3 weeks before alert reappeared.

It’s hard to get the smell of the cleaner out of the ice maker after cleaning. I had to flush it out 10 times.
