The clock is quiet (no audible ticking more than two feet away), and is highly accurate. But I bought this clock because I absolutely love the design. I have always loved the timeless and minimalist "Bauhaus-style" design of Braun products, including clocks like this one. This clock looks pretty much the same as vintage Braun clocks sold decades ago. And for that reason, it never has, and never will, look dated or go out of style. The blue color is attractive and the contrast with the white Arabic markers and hands results in good legibility.It only gets four stars for me because, as many others have noted, the build quality isn't great for the money. I don't regard this as a deal-breaker, though, because this is just a wall clock. Braun could certainly have used thicker plastics or more expensive materials, but after you've hung this clock on your wall, you don't really notice the build quality. But the build quality does require that you handle the clock carefully when you're installing or changing the battery, as it could likely scratch or break easily.
