The scarf is inside in clear plastic. There is also a postcard sized card that provides care and wearing instructions. Although the pictures with the steps are on the small side, there are 6 illustrated ways shown on how to fold and wear the scarf. This scarf is so beautiful that I intend to display it with my globe and map collection instead of wearing it. I'll have to place it somewhere where it's not subject to being blown by the wind for it's so light weight. My rating is 5 stars for both and scarf and its packaging is simply perfect.
