I read about the great health benefits of white Salba seed and looked for the best deal online. This was my selection: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000W77S60/ref=cm_cr_rev_prod_imgI have found it to be everything I expected. I put some in my health drink in the morning.

same product, lower price
I have used this product for 6 months and like the healhier results it's giving my body. I am not stopping the use of this product any day soon, but I needed to find a source that sold it for less. Which I did.

So far so good
I haven't had a chance to really use this on a regular basis, so my opinion isn't complete yet. I found that it was easy to grind in a coffee mill, and made up as a gel that could be used many ways. I only tried it once as an egg substitue for a brownie mix, but they didn't turn out that well. I am optimistic about my future experiences.

Super Grain Is Super Great
I recently read about how awesome chia seeds are for your health. I also read that Salba is the variety to consume because they are standardized and are the variety of chia that has been so thoroughly tested. We got these chia seeds not too long ago and we love them. They are smaller than sesame seeds and very mild in flavor. They are slightly nutty and quite easy to incorporate into foods. I've sprinkled them in the topping of a berry crumble, on top of my bagel and cream cheese, and in most of the dinners I've made they've ended up sprinkled on that too.I won't make any bold health statements as I haven't had them in our diet for that long, but if you look into the research, you'll see why I immediately wanted to try them.Psst: these seeds will grow (amazingly quickly) when planted as well! So they taste good and they're great for you. Sounds like a good recipe!

Very good!
I've started making 'healthy' cookies, and a half-cup of salba added to the batter makes my cookies crunchy, and just generally better.Since I have to stay gluten free, I start with almond butter, add hemp hearts and whole Salba, nuts, and sunflower and pumpkin seeds, applesauce to sweeten and moisten, and then make scoops and put on the baking sheet and bake The cookies are hearty, gluten free, travel well, and they make a wonderful breakfast with coffee! I've run out of Salba and tried to make them while the Salba was in transit from Amazon, and they were not nearly as good, so the Salba has become an essential ingredient in my diet!

Great and Good for You
This product was recommended to me by a physician - it was presented as a tasty and heathful way to lower cholesterol and weight - sooooooo nothing ventured....I have been very pleased with Salba - I most frequently add it to yogurt and it provides a pleasant crunch not unlike the granola that I used to mix in -It has a mild flavor and can be added to any foodstuff without altering the taste- It can be used in baking and/or cooking but it does then lose the crunch factor.I plan to make it a regular part of my diet.

Salvia
I had purchased this product after I read an article about it's potent heart protection. It has a very high level of omega. Gez people it is cheaper to buy this and eat I than wait until your heart needs perscriptions to keep it pumping! I use it in everything including yogurt! I bake with it and sprinkle it on no sugar added ice cream. If you buy the seeds you can grind them in a small coffee grinder. Keep it in the frig as well. If you don't eat fish, then this is the next best thing.
