I love this coz me and my partner loves to go on camping and travelling. This will be very good if ever you get lost as it's too loud. I just love survival kits :)

Bought this as a 2-pack, for use with dogs and generally about to signal people too far away for voice alone.The specs say 150dB loud - I've no sensible way to test that, but if you blow hard enough it will hurt your ears a little. The dogs can definitely hear it and if you blow it inside, you'll upset a fair few people!Tone-wise, it's quite shrill and with a trilling sound similar to the referee's whistle with a pea in the chamber. Comes with a keyring and a selection of attachments, but is easy enough to fix your own choie of cord or lanyard to the end.You can easily cover one of the slots, if you have such a need.

Unfortunately I won't be using these whilst hiking and climbing mountains. I bought them because I am disabled and the last time i fell in my garden and broke my hip it took rather a long time for anyone to hear me calling for help. Hopefully I won't have another fall but if I do, I think this whistle will bring me help sooner.

These are great. Nice looking and very loud. I used to get a lot of prank calls. Used this once, they didn't call back. Brilliant.

These are a really useful bit of kit that I got for my partner and I when we go out hiking. Great in case of an emergency or if we become separated in poor weather. They work really well (i.e. very loud!), are very lightweight and seem to be durable and weatherproof - she wears hers clipped to the outside of her bag in all weathers and it's still in top shape.

Pack contained two all metal whistles - very loud and piercing sound ~ two lanyards - two lightweight carabiner style clips. Whistles seem well made and robust ~ hopefully will last a couple of seasons, but time will tell.
